Let me start by saying this is not your typical review. I have a bird at home, and these drops literally saved her sight and probably her life (mine too in the process). Let me also start by saying that in spite of how stupid you’ll think I am if you have ever owned birds, I do in fact know better than the tale I will share. I’m horrified by my own idiocy here and this was 100% a stupid, completely avoidable faux-pas. I’m ashamed beyond measure… I never let my bird out when I’m doing my hair, not only for the fumes but because she loves to sit on my shoulder and obviously that doesn’t mix with boxed bleach kits. I was getting ready to wash my hair out so I grabbed her to take to the shower. This was my nearly fatal mistake. I don’t normally do this, but I broke my own rule. She was calling so I caved…stupid me. I was getting ready to get in the shower to wash the product off, and faster than I could react or even process what had happened, she was on my shoulder and that side of her face had touched the hair bleach. My OWN life flashed before my eyes in that moment. I was so sure this foolish mistake would cost me her life. Birds are so sensitive, and I feared the stress of it was enough to kill her. I also know from doing my own hair you’re not supposed to get this stuff in eyes because it can cause blindness… I immediately sprang into action and rinsed the eye with cold water, but my problem is because her face is so small, I risked causing her to aspirate water if any got in her nostrils (she was also understandably angry/in pain and thrashing about). In my panic, I remembered I had these sterile drops. After flushing the eye as much as I could for a few minutes, I said a prayer and just doused the eye with packet after packet of these little drops. It was the only way I could keep flushing her eye without risking her suffocating. I went thought about 10 or 15 of these up front, and then went through a few more within the hour. Through some insane miracle, she survived and appears to have no long term damage to the physical structures of the eye, nor loss of sight. Other than her having nine lives, this product is what I credit for that. If I hadn’t had these drops, I fear for what might have happened because I wouldn’t have been able to flush her eye. Any number of things could have happened if the eye was irritated, including infection and worse…So here I am, writing this review on my replacement box. You should buy these! (And better yet, don’t be dumb like I was if you have birds.) ... show more

This brand was recommended by the eye doctor for my husband. His eyes were itching and burning a lot and the other brands were not providing a long term solution to the problem. these are the best drops. They are alway sterile. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the product box was crushed inside the shipping box. So it was put in there that way.
