Style: Lubricating Gel
I can't recommend this product strongly enough. I've been using NuLids device the for a couple of years and it has made the biggest difference in my eyes as far as comfort (gritty feeling) and visual clarity (due to dryness). This gel is more soothing and easier to use than the spray. I have Sjogren's syndrome and used Restasis and Xiidra for almost 20 years without much benefit and the co-pay was $60 a month. Thanks to NuLids, I have been able to stop the prescription eye drops. Yes, I still use eye drops (Refresh PF) during the day, but I am no longer having blurred vision due to dryness. I come home from a day at work spent in front of a computer and I really look forward to taking off my makeup and using the NuLid device on my tired, dry eyes. After using Nulids, I use Siccaforte eye gel and I'm able to function in the evening. I used to have to rest my eyes with a heating pad before I could do anything in the evening. I had a hard time driving at night because of blurry vision which must have been due to dryness since I don't have that any more. With NuLids I can read, sew, go to the theater or stream video without feeling that gritty feeling I used to have. There is no down time and it is much cheaper than prescription medications with no side effects. I don't know why anyone would write a bad review for this product. It is so easy to use that not using it is akin to not showering or not brushing your teeth. I’ve done blepharitis treatments before at the eye doctor ($90 each out of pocket) and only had temporary relief. I use this twice a day and get significant, lasting relief. The magnetic tip and auto-pause features make it really easy to use. It works great, works fast, and is cheaper than doc visits. Watch the video on how to use it on the NuLids website, it's perfect, you learn exactly how to use it quickly and in a way that's easy to remeber. I thought the actress in the video was Kayley Cuoco at first and I love her, I was disappointed it wasn't her but the actress in the video is still hot so I got over that quickly. ... show more

It doesn't work for me. Maybe it works for someone else. I didn't see any improvement after one month of consistently using it. I stop using it after it irritated my eyes during the Spring allergy season. It's just too expensive for a device that doesn't work. The package of the device is unacceptable to me especially it was priced at $300+. There was no safety seal on the box, on the eye gel and the single-use "soft tips" were tossed in a zip lock bag. I was horrified that the soft tips was not individual vacuum sealed. The packaging was so lousy I even suspected my device was a refurbished until I saw some youtube video showing the exact same package I had. ... show more

I have been diagnosed with severe MGD. My ophthalmologist said to get this and am I ever glad! After a month's use my eyes continue to improve. I'm using less of my eyedrops and screen time is much less aggravating. When I went for a walk in the neighborhood yesterday, the wonderful cool breeze blew in my face and it felt good. The a/c in stores is much less troublesome. Because of the severity of my MGD, I expect this "gadget" to remain a trusty friend for a long time... never do I want to go back to the way it was.     • Did Not Help My Dry Eyes At All

I had planned to return this product if I didn't get relief within the return window. But, a lady in a Facebook ad told me it took her six weeks to get relief so I decided to keep using it. It has now been over 3 MONTHS and my dry eye is no better. In fact, with daily use my dry eye got WORSE. However, it's not a total loss. If my eyelids get a little itchy and my eyes feel filmy, I'll use the device. It gets rid of the itching instantly and the filminess goes away by day 2 of use. I also use Ocusoft Original Foam morning and night, and after using this device because I want to get all the gel off my eyelids. When I use this device it's after my shower. I use the gel it came with (I've had to replace the gel twice so a container is good for a month of use), and I use one "brush" per use as recommended. I did not find the device difficult to use and it holds a charge with daily use for about two weeks. I stopped using it for about two weeks and needed to recharge it before I used it again. It takes an hour or two to charge - not sure as I haven't timed it. At that point my eyelids felt kind of itchy and sticky, and my eyes felt filmy. I used the device for two days and my eyes felt normal again. I wear night goggles which has helped my eyelids not to feel prickly or itchy in the mornings. I should also add that when I got this device I had an ulcer in one eye. I used the device on both eyes for five days because I was anxious to try it, but it caused the ulcer not to heal. Instead, the cells got pushed into a pile and built up on the eye, and the doctor had to remove those cells. I stopped using the device at that point and the eye healed. So if you have an eye ulcer I recommend waiting to use the device until the ulcer has healed. This device does seem to work well for some so I think it's worth a try, but if you're not seeing relief as you go into week 4 it probably isn't going to work for you. That's just my opinion based on my experience. There are several things that can lead to dry eye and this device definitely doesn't work for all of them. ... show more
