My eye doctor recommended these since I cannot use the prescription drops for my dry eye problems, and the homeopathic ones that I used by Similisan for the past few years with great success were removed from the market. I suggest that you try to get enough samples from your doctor to try for two weeks (about the time I started having issues) before making a big purchase. These go in and feel pretty good, but I made a purchase after using the sample that lasted about a week. After three days of using the product from my purchase, my vision was blurry, and my eyes itched constantly. I had to stop using them. They seem to work great for others, and the doctor swears by them but did confirm that some people have had issues. My eyes are sensitive to several ingredients, so unfortunately, these are not for me. Since I thought they were okay at first after trying the small sample my doctor gave me, I purchased these individual doses for travel and a bottle to keep by my bed. I spent more than I could afford because it was for my eyes, and I am scheduled to have cataract surgery in a few weeks! Now, I am out over $30.00 for something I can't use. Sigh. Hygiene is so important when it comes to contact use! Love that these are single use (but you CAN put the lid back on and use them twice--my son does this if he uses when at home --- if at school or sports he throws it away. Nothing worth an eye infection! price is good and they work great!
