This kennel is really easy to set up and lightweight. Two things that I was looking for because I was tired of lugging around my dogs large metal crate whenever we had to go anywhere. We have a spoiled one that had to have ACL surgery. She is not supposed to run or jump for 8 weeks and we had to get her a carrier. Not only is the carrier lightweight and easy to put up, it looks great and is sturdy. The material and stitching is great, the zippers and netting has held up well in several escape attempts too. I bought this as a sleeping crate for my pup but one of my kitties couldn’t resist trying it out! The packaging was exactly right for the size of the crate and it was very easy to open and assemble. Well made carrier and plenty room for my Mimi. I got sick of her having to slouch to get in smaller ones. She's approx. 14" high and long. She hopped right in and didn't want to come out. Nets are thick (I wish they had roll down covers), not like screen and the zippers seems to be strong. The bowls are nice and work well and they're not those awful fluorescent colors. Though, I wish they had lids. The pockets are generous. Because I take her to work with me sometimes, I needed something like a tiny crate for her to rest and play in and this will work wonderfully. She can stand up with plenty of spare headroom and turn around just fine. I should be able to secure it with a seatbelt for the ride. Cleaning it will be another story. I don't anticipate it getting really dirty, but I think I'll just spray it with a cleaner and hose it off, if needed. Before purchasing I asked if the bottom was solid. I'm not sure what some think 'solid' meant, other than they might have thought 'not made of net'? But who would put net on the bottom? Anyway, it's NOT solid. It's made out of material and although she only weighs 4lbs, I can still feel and see her feet through it. She does not seem uncomfortable at all, but I would say that a pet 8lbs + would definitely sag. I'm going to cut a piece of plexiglass I have here, glue thin foam to it and wrap it in something cozy, for the bottom. I searched long and hard and returned a different carrier. I'll never get all the features I want in one, so I had to settle. It's a good choice and if it fails, rest assured I'll be back with an update. ... show more

    • Great crate for both home & car. Perfect size for dachshund!

We wanted a crate/carrier that could be used in both the house and car, and so far this one has been wonderful (we’ve had it about two months). We have a 16lb dachshund and the 24” crate is the perfect size for him. He does not have enough headroom to jump up which is great for saving his back. The crate fits really well in the back seat of our Sonata and it’s helped keep him from getting car sick. There is a strap on the back a seat belt can go through to secure it. We also put the carrying strap around the headrest to further secure the crate. We were not able to get a seat belt around the front of it, but it seems secure enough with what we’ve been doing. It’s very easy to load him up in the house and carry him to the car, and vice versa. So far he’s only escaped one time, but he was extremely distraught (does not like strangers) and was able to somehow unzip one of the sides. So if your dog is an escape artist, they may be able to get out. As he’s been crate trained he scratches and bites at the mesh on the sides sometimes when he’s ready to get out. He has not broken through or created any holes which is very surprising for the amount of chewing and scratching it’s endured. Overall we really love this crate. If he does manage to tear it up we will buy another. ... show more

We have two small dogs and this is perfect for car travel. They have plenty of room to move about and are more relaxed being together rather than separately in raised dog seats. It is safe and sturdy and doesn't require them to be restrained with the short tether strap as they were when riding in car seats. ... show more

Let me tell you - I really didn’t want to send this back. It’s sturdy and well made. Also look how cute it looks in my car. It was an easy setup and I felt like it would be so comfortable for my corgi The problem was it’s just a hair too big for my car. If you have a crosstrek and keep your middle seats up, you can’t close the door and it as gonna be too much space for my dog. After getting the right size from a different brand, I was immediately missing this one. Although they said they have the 28” on the size chart, it’s not on their listing (at the time of this review). If you need a good durable crate, I would recommend this one! ... show more
