The media could not be loaded. I've seen a lot of people complain about the bottom tray not fitting in the holes. It does fit though, they are just using it wrong. I added a video to show how to properly use the tray. I figured this out in the first 30 seconds after setting it up. I love how there's really no constructing, it just pops open ready to go! Collapses to packable size. Twigs work fine but I take it on family picnic days with instant charcoal and can easily cook burgers, steaks, and dogs. Retains heat well, speedy setup and take down. Wonderful product so far!

This stove is not for a light backpack. More of a Medium weight pack. I can burn almost anything to create a bed of hot coals. Twigs, branches, paper whatever happens to be available. It sets up very eary, just a few minutes. I did drill a few holes and created a new bed or platform for the coals. Was not hard, but a wonderful improvement. It really will be dependent on what you pack with you to eat. I like hot dogs and burgers. Easy to pack frozen and ready when I am. My activities are Motorcycle, Kayaking mainly. The frozen meats I bring keep everything else I might bring cold. I am a day camper. Sunrise to Sunset. The Redcamp Stove is my favorite. When I take a break I am not in a hurry. I enjoy the solitude of most rivers, lakes, and hiking trails. Do I dislike anything about it? Honestly No! So easy to modify and the price is right. I can boil, fry, and grill. This was just delivered, but i'm so impressed with how durable and well made it is, i wanted to let people know. I think that this is easily strong enough to hold a large cast iron frying pan or large pan of water. It feels heavier than i thought it would be (close to 10 pounds, but the weight is a sign of high quality and durability, and that's the price you pay. If you're concerned about weight in a backpack, then maybe get the smaller version, but this fits my military style mess kit pan perfectly, and offers good room for cooking things on the grill. It sets up in seconds, when i took it out of the box it folded right open and practically set it self up, i just had to set the grate on top and slide the ash tray under (which might be unnecessary if you're using it on the ground?). I like this little camp stove when out camping. It's fairly lightweight and durable. The canvas carrying case is very strong and durable as well. It is small, but you can cook about two chicken thighs or two burgers at one time. If there is a fire pit in my campsite, I will put this inside the pit. That way when I am done using it, I can just dump out the coals into the firepit and start my evening campfire. ... show more

That's my 2nd time breaking it in, in that photo. It cooks great, and holds heat nicely. The only thing I would RECOMMEND DOING IMMEDIATELY before use, place in a conventional oven at about 500 for 10 or 15 minutes. Then apply some kind of oil (I used olive oil) to the whole thing, and place it back in the oven at 500 for another 10 or 15 minutes. To keep it from rusting, since it it steel it will rust if not cleaned and treated properly. Other than that, which isnt a downside that's just how metal works, it's a nice stove. ... show more
