Very simple to setup. Basically just turn the transmitter and receiver on next to each other and then put the receiver into the pool.     • Just what I needed!
This was packaged nicely, easy to sync, and just worked seamlessly. Within 2 minutes it was floating in the pool and reporting accurate temps about 25 meters away.

So, I purchased this as part of the vine program to try it out since I've not had good luck with *any* digital thermometers for pool use throughout my 15+ years of owning a pool. In comparison to past failed products, they usually fail in one primary way - water ingress. The seals eventually give up, water enters, and corrodes the internal circuitry. I have rarely had a product live past 1 season of use. Now, for this product, I can't comment on its durability (longevity) yet, since I just put it in the pool, however after visually inspecting it, one crucial positive I see is the lack of any openings. The unit is completely sealed (except for the charging port which has a thick cover). This gives me hope! Now to review the functionality - this product was easy. I didn't even read the instructions. Pulled out the unit, press the side power button and hold it to turn it on, then press the power button on the receiver/remote display to turn it on. Within 10 seconds it started receiving the temperature from the floating pool unit. It has a USB-C port for recharging when the floating temperature probe gets low, and the remote unit will show the battery level of both the probe and the remote display. Its clear, this was well designed in terms of engineering the usability of the product, and I hope just as much thought went into the quality of the electronic components inside to make this thing last. Overall, I'm impressed, but as mentioned, we will see how it holds up. ... show more

I was very excited about having one of these. However; when it arrived, I was disappointed as it did not have the indoor display in the package as was described in the product description. However, it works great I just really wish it had the indoor display. That was the whole reason I bought it. The pool thermostat would be a good value for the money if it had come with the indoor display. ... show more

    • An excellent pool thermometer
This pool thermometer is very easy to read which is something I really hoped for. I can see the numbers by just bending over a little bit. No need to get down on your knees or put your hand in the water to see what the temperature is. I've had the thermometer in my pool for a week now and it has been very consistent. It has never lost connection with the receiver at all. I don't think I have anything blocking the signal but it is at least 20 yards away from it. I highly recommend this thermometer. It syncs in 2 minutes and works consistently what more could I have asked for? ... show more

    • Impressive and convenient; we love it!
I'm really impressed with the performance and quality of this. We have and above-ground pool that doesn't have any heating. It's been fun to watch the temperature of the water slowly increase each day since setting up the pool. Last year I had to go out, take the cover off, and take a manual reading. This year, I can just glance at the little indoor unit. It also clearly displays the temperature inside the house as well. It doesn't have any trouble receiving a signal from the pool which is dug into a pit so it sits level with the ground, it is about 25 yards away from our sliding glass door, and the remote unit is sitting another 15 feet inside the house from the patio sliding glass door.
