  • Thermometer saves the day
Number of Items: 1
I live in my head a lot and don’t notice when the refrigerator door doesn’t get shut. This has saved me several times from ruining all the food in our fridge. Easy to use, I get a notification on my phone if the temp exceeds the range I set it at. Seems well built, accurate temp, good range, works well. ... show more

  • Great data logger
Number of Items: 1
Setup is easy it just works no fighting. After a couple years of using one in the attic I bought two more. There are lots of temp sensors in the house even my speakers have temp and humidity but these log that data and chart hit you can export it just great overall. Accuracy seems close to what the others read in the same areas. I’m not going to mars with them so that half degree or so variance is fine. They seem to reliably connect to my wifi. Govee hasn’t let me down yet. And using third party software you can get these to show up in HomeKit - native matter support would be a nice addition to the firmware - seems to be the only negative lack of matter support - but you can work around that - ... show more

  • Excellent Product
Number of Items: 1
The Govee WiFi Thermometer Hygrometer is an excellent device for monitoring temperature and humidity in real-time. Its user-friendly app provides accurate data, easy pairing, and convenient notifications when conditions go outside set ranges. This makes it ideal for home use, greenhouses, or wine cellars. The compact design fits seamlessly into any space, and the device runs efficiently on batteries, lasting several months before needing replacement. However, while the overall performance is impressive, the initial setup can be slightly tricky, especially for non-tech-savvy users. Also, the WiFi connectivity occasionally disconnects, requiring manual re-pairing, which can be inconvenient. The app lacks advanced data export features, limiting detailed analysis for those who need it. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Govee Thermometer Hygrometer is a reliable and affordable solution for monitoring indoor climate. It’s a valuable tool for anyone looking to maintain optimal conditions in their living or storage spaces. ... show more

  • Needed at Church
Number of Items: 1
We have a church in PA and if the furnace fails no one is there to tell and then you run the risks of frozen pipes. This is very accurate and sends a warning to your phone if it falls outside your preset parameters. It's great to know that all is well when you can't be there. I gave it four stars because it was really hard to set up....in fact I gave up but then it connected and started to work. It performs flawlessly these past 4 months even when the power was out it came back online without having to fuss with it. Govee is known to be difficult to set up and I'm now trying to do a water detection device from them and no luck so far but I'll do some more research. ... show more

Purchased this item because we wanted to be able to keep an eye on the temperature in the house during the wintertime when we are gone. Last thing we wanted was to come home to frozen pipes. This was perfect. Easy to set up, works great and the app on the phone is easy to use. This item was exactly what we were looking for. ... show more

  • Critical Failure (but fixed)
Number of Items: 1
Update to original review below: Govee Technical Support says that it found the problem described below and pushed an update to all affected devices on August 21, 2021. Indeed, all four of my Govee devices are now functioning perfectly well. And the best part of it is that I had to do nothing... the problem just "corrected itself". I changed my rating from 1 star to 5 stars since the basic unit functionality is really very good. I am assuming that Govee did indeed really fix this issue and that in the future the units will not appear to have lost Wifi connectivity when they actually have not lost it. Thank you, Govee! Original Review: I have four of these Govee units running into two widely separated physical location. Each location uses Nest (by Google) WiFi routers. When it works, the Govee app reports the appropriate temperature and humidity data. However, sporadically, the Govee units report that they have lost WiFi connectability and stop reporting all data. At that point, if the Govee unit is local to you, you can use the app to correct this situation. However, if the Govee unit is not accessible from your location, it is useless until it can be accessed via Bluetooth from the app. All four of my units have gotten to this state, so it is not a particular physical device that has the problem. I used the words "the Govee units report that they have lost WiFi connectability" intentionally, because I believe that they actually have NOT lost WiFi communications ability. I think that there is a software bug that is leading to them reporting that, and to stop displaying data, even though it is not true. The Nest WiFi system monitors usage of all devices. It maintains data on devices (such as phones) even after they have completely physically disconnected. If the same device subsequently logs onto the Nest WiFi system, the statistics go into the same bucket. The Govee device is very clever and (presumably to save battery) completely disconnects from WiFi when it is not reporting data. However, each device seems to have a unique ID beginning with "ESP" and thus its WiFi usage can be tracked by the Nest WiFi system despite its complete disconnection from WiFi.. Much to my surprise, all of my Govee devices that are marked in the Govee app as not having WiFi connectability, regularly connect and upload and download data (presumably to a Govee server). Furthermore, their upload and download byte counts are approximately the same when the Govee app shows them as connectable to WiFi and when it shows as not connectable to WiFi. This would seem to indicate that the Govee device sometimes CAN connect to WiFi even when the Govee app shows that it cannot. It would seem that some event occurs to make the Govee app flag the device as not-connectable and not report data even though the device is actually connecting and apparently reporting data to the Govee servers. Govee support seems to be really good if you are having routine setup issues. They are patient and walk you through what you need to do. However, in this case, they suggested that I have "someone" that was local to the Govee device download the Govee app, connect via Bluetooth, and reset the WiFi connection. This is obviously not a viable solution for remote monitoring. Since the Govee units go to this state regularly (it seems to take about three or four weeks), it makes them effectively unusable for long-term monitoring. Which, I think, is a pity, since the unit itself really works and makes a lot of "sense" for remote monitoring. I have entertained the idea that there is something nefarious going on here, since these devices are placed in people's property, and connect on a regular basis to the Govee server. But it seems to me that is really a software bug. ... show more

  • Works great for garage fridge/freezer
Number of Items: 1
I bought these as an alternative to the TempStick (which I love, but it’s expensive). I was worried because it had to 1) connect to my WiFi through the freezer door, through the walls in my garage, and to my Orbi Mesh Acesss Point and 2) needed to alert me if the temperature went above a certain point I choose. I’ve had these now for about 5 months and I’m very pleased. The batteries it comes with will work in freezing temps and so far, the battery life has held steady. The app is easy to use and you really don’t check it once you set the products up. To this day, the temperature alerts have saved me twice from my freezer door being cracked open. I like this model versus the model that requires a gateway because these connect directly to my WiFi. I didn’t want to have a gateway/hub - just one more thing to break. In all - I would 100% buy these again. ... show more
