I’m trying my hand at caring for a big batch of Calathea plants, and they’re VERY finicky about their humidity needs—thus, I needed a way to track the humidity levels in my home at any given moment. This device meets that need and works very well! It’s very accurate, and I notice that whenever I mist my plants, the humidity reading instantly changes letting me know that it actually is attuned to the environment. The display size is small, but fine. I like that it’s small enough to fit in the center area of my plant stand. I wish the kickstand was more flexible so that I could adjust it to meet my display needs, but it’s either completely flat or completely extended, no in between. The one major downside of this item is that the display screen doesn’t glow in the dark!! Very inconvenient if I’m in dim lighting and I just want to glance at the temperature and humidity levels in passing. It’s actually impossible to see the readings without light. That irks me, but it’s not the end of the world. Overall, I’m satisfied with the product and its functionality. It does what I need it to do. But if I was to purchase another humidity reader, I would definitely go for one that has a better display design with an automatic display light adjuster. ... show more

Item was delivered promptly by Amazon. It is very small and light, with a couple operation instructions to cover. It was easy to install a AAA battery, and mount the unit on my wall using a small screw (that was already there from another picture). I've only had the unit running for a week, and it works very well. The instructions say that a single AAA battery will last about 6mo to a year, the difference being the quality of the battery. ... show more

I ordered a 2 pack, figuring I can compare the 2 for readings/accuracy. So I put in the battery, and the 2 side by side were about 10 degrees away from each other in temperature and about 30 degrees in humidity. Neither temperature was within even 10 degrees of what I knew the room temperature to be. After an hour, still way off. I thought it was junk, considered sending it back but thought I’d try the customer service #. Amazingly, a human answered AND was very friendly AND helpful. Wow. Young man cheerfully assured me that it takes up to 24 hours for the thermometer to acclimate and give out accurate readings. He apologized that the owner’s manual does not specify this. I said, sure no problem, but really doubted it. OK, 23 hours later, the 2 match each other perfectly and matched my accurate house thermostat. This small and inexpensive thermometer is carefully thought out. It’s easy to insert battery. It gives you an option of popping the back support out if you want to have it setting up on a surface, or you could hang it from same little support, or there’s a magnet too. Magnet is strong enough to support the thermometer. I probably would have given them at least 3 stars for having actually answered the phone. Nowadays, that’s very rare. But the product is great, customer service is wonderful, so 5 stars it is. I plan to get another 2 pack. ... show more
