The media could not be loaded. Great looking product. Easy to install with mostly everything you need. The logs look nice and realistic. I understand the difference in prices of gas logs based on the colors and appearance. We changed from the real wood, gas assisted blue flame rod, but we were concerned about the prices. This "live oak" log set from "FYRESIDE" (R.H. Peterson) made a confusing decision easier. We hope to get many years of service from this product. I believe this product to be made and or assembled in the U.S.A. and that is also important to me. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The package was delivered on time and there were no broken or missing parts. I purchased this gas log set because I already had a gas starter for my wood-burning fireplace so there was no need to run in a gas line. I was getting tired of bringing in logs from the back yard and then having to clean up the ashes a couple of days later so the idea of a gas-log set was pretty appealing. However, my expectations were relatively low as I really enjoy a nice fire and thought a gas set would look fake. This unit far exceeded my expectations. Now, on the negative side, it's not real wood. But, on the positive side, it's not real wood (which often had bugs and beetles hitchhiking there way into my nice warm home). Two recommendation though: 1. Order the gas line. I had a heck of a time finding anything from the hardware store that wasn't bright yellow (meant for a gas stove). 2. Order the Lava-Fyre granules. I just ordered mine and, as you can see from the photo, the bare bricks on the bottom of the fireplace look stark. The granules should help. If you're on the fence about switching over to a gas log set, jump off. This is the set you've been looking for! ... show more

The big log arrived cracked but it really isn’t too noticeable and since I was desperate to get my fire going I just decided to live with it. Had these professionally installed and they look beautiful!!

This fireset looks great. The material, including the burner, grate, and logs are first class. Easy to install and assemble. It included plenty of "embers" and sand and fits nicely in the fireplace. The burner releases flames evenly under the logs. I did need an additional flexible connector hose as it replaced a wood burning set-up with gas "starter" so the included burner was too short to direct connect. I also bought additional lava rocks (not included) to spread across the firebox flooring. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. After holding this in my cart for months, I finally pulled the trigger and purchased it. I should have done it sooner. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Sitting my the fireplace is so relaxing and beautiful. I definitely recommend.

These logs will not create any heat. This important tidbit was not included in the description, but was confirmed by the seller After we purchased them. Also note that this is basically non-returnable. You will have to pay return shipping which is around 50 dollars and they will only refund you 50% for the product.
