Super cute and quite realistic book safe!! Blends in with other books well. Bought this for my dorm room to use in the fall to hold some of my personal documents and cards. It’s quite an easy process to set the passcode even though I was worried I was going to mess it up. It’s about the size of an iPhone XR storage wise (put my phone case in the safe for reference lol), and it’s quite small but could fit things like your social, passport, cash, phone etc. The real pages make it that much more realistic compared to most other book safes that just have like molded plastic “pages”. Might buy another in a different pattern :) It did come a bit bent and dented though. ... show more

I purchased both the key and combination versions of this item. I recommend the key version over the combination version. The keys are fairly generic, but not the worst key lock for the price. The combination safe however, can be reset if you don't know the combination which I don't care for personally. Also the combination one only uses three digits which is significantly less safe than four, and most number-based safety and security things use for so through is harder for me to remember. The spine of the books blends in fairly well. Unfortunately, it would be very easy to determine that it isn't a real book by feel alone it feels hollow I can't really describe it any better than that. So, well do you recommend it especially for the price don't expect that you're going to get something super sneaky with it. If someone knows you have a book safe it will be easy to find or if someone is going through your things looking for hidden stuff I actually think this would make it easier to discover whatever you're hiding. Also one final thing, you can't really flip the paper almost all at all so having it be real paper only adds minimal stealth. Still a great place to stash things are hiding from small children or a place to put something that makes you feel very Scooby-Doo. So, first of all the actual lock is right as soon as you open the front cover. It would seem that it would be at the back of the book right by the back cover so as soon as you open the front cover of the book, there's the lock, and it doesn't seem to lock very well it be very easy to pop it open probably with a fingernail file however it does the job and I'm keeping it ... show more
