  • Life is good until....
No warnings and no safety's in place to prevent these meltdowns. This is the second time. Tech support blamed filament the first with the hyper heads and z offset this time. They should design a diverter plate to keep the filament from cementing the heads to the extruder assembly. No way to save any parts of the entire assembly, can't wait to get the bill for this repair. They just don't care is the part that is enough to just piss you off. Try Ulitimaker, have heard better things since buying the Pro3 about their tech support, even if the machine is slower in some cases, beats this mess. Amazing machine right up until you walk into this...again.... ... show more

  • Raise is too expensive for what you get
I bought a Raise N2 Plus and you could not use the second, dual, extruder out of the box. I was relegated to using only one of the print extruders which slowed things down and I was not able to put water soluble material in the other for use as supports. This was a selling point. The company at the time would not accept the return and had no real way to fix the problem. When using the second extruder it would clip the model and dislodge it from the build plate causing a massive mess of ABS or PLA Spaghetti. They would try to trouble shoot things on line but it would take some time over the internet and I did not get answers over the weekend. The cost for some of the parts is pretty high too. So be warned. There are other machines for much much less on the market that print as large or larger. Raise printers are the designer jeans of 3d printing...its a name. Found out later that they company knew that the dual extruder would not work properly but they sold the units anyway. Then the prints started to fail almost every other one. I used all the online methods to secure the print to the bed and sometimes it worked but not for the full height of the build volume. I have 3 prints successful from 2 years using the full height. Otherwise I have had to use half the volume. This machine is waaayyyyy overpriced and I do not recommend this company as they would not take the printer back when I identified that the second extruder would not work. Again sources online, likely those who worked for or with the company, knew that the dual extruder was problematic... and still sold the units! ... show more
