Description

The Big Red Classic ATW is a high sided version of the classic red wagon, built for all terrain fun. Just like the original, this wagon features an all steel seamless body with no scratch edges, an extra long handle that folds under for easy storage, and a controlled turning radius to prevent tipping. I got this wagon for my 6 year old grandson. He had a plastic wagon and everyone knows those are only good for pulling on hard surfaces, not actually playing like we did when we were kids. This kids chore is carrying pails of water from the creek to water the chickens, potted plants, etc. He was doing it a pail at a time, now he can fit several in the wagon, fill them up and away he goes. The handle is a bit long for him to steer as he rides down the hill, though, so dad is going to attach a steering stick to the handle and then kid will be able to steer it. It's a hoot watching him at the top of the driveway, steering down the drive onto the grass, across the yard and plopping into the creek! Fun like we had as kids. ... show more

Had a wagon like this for years. Husband drove over it. This is the replacement. Use it for hauling everything and when younger loved pulling it behind my bike and riding it down hills (not recommended).

We do love this wagon! Went together great, unfortunately it came with a dent in the side. Because my toddler will probably bang it up, and she loved it to much to not let her have it. If you are one that cannot use a wheel burrow for any reason I suggest you get yourself a little red radio flyer I purchased the larger one this time and love both my lil red wagons, the old one still works (somewhat) it's wheels have been replaced but you can't beat the price and durability of these wagons. they have been around for ages and still outlast any other wagon I've purchased before these. The older wagon is 20 years old. I use my wagons for hauling rocks, concrete bags dirt plants you name it. I'm a gardener and live in the country and it's my Lil Work Horse lol ... show more

    • Point where handle connects to steering mechanism is the weakest part of the whole wagon.

The wrong part is included in the box - they send a 2.5" bolt to connect the handle to the steering mechanism. I tried to squeeze the receptor with pliers in order to make the 2.5" bolt work, but it ended up coming apart while the baby sitter was pulling my nephew in the wagon for the first time. Also, this part of the (otherwise-metal) wagon is made of plastic - WHY?! This is arguably the most important part of the whole wagon and we would've been in serious jeopardy as kids who used to sit in the wagon and steer with the handle riding down steep hills, but I digress... The problem was relatively easily solved with a trip to the hardware store for a 3" bolt, matching nut and a few washers, so if you have the patience for that extra work and expense after already purchasing a pretty expensive wagon, this is still an ok purchase. I had no choice as I'd already covered it in stickers I've been accumulating over the past 25 years, so there was no turning back. ... show more
