  • Not The Same!!
Size: 12 Count Style: Birthday Cake
Okay. So I’m a bit confused. I originally tasted a store bought birthday cake quest bar and was blown away by how good it was. So I purchased a whole box online from here. When it came in, I noticed it tasted not as good, and I figured it was just me forgetting how it tasted a little bit. However, upon closer inspection, I realized there were some clear differences. First off, there’s an obvious difference in size and even colour. Secondly, the taste is a bit plasticky. Third, they’re so hard it’s almost impossible to chew. The store bought one I compared it to was soft, and tasted like birthday cake (as much as it can). The amazon bought one was hard and tasted just gross. What’s going on here? Quality control please! ... show more

  • Best Flavors, Worst Flavors and a Pro-tip
Size: 12 Count Style: Birthday Cake
Quest are the best. High in protein, little to no sugar and carbs and easily some of the best tasting bars out there. BEST FLAVORS: 1) Birthday Cake 2) Cookies and Cream 3) Peanut Butter Supreme 4) Rocky Road 5) Blueberry Muffin WORST FLAVORS (do not buy): 1) Vanilla Almond 2) Apple Pie 3) Strawberry Cheesecake PRO TIP: If you have time warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds. Maybe 5-10 depending on your microwave. ... show more

  • Moldy bars
Size: 12 Count Style: Double Chocolate Chunk
Before the expiration date the bars all moldy. Horrible blue. What a waste of money. Will not buy from this seller ever again.

  • Insufficient CASE!!!! Variable sizes????
Size: 12 Count Style: Birthday Cake
The media could not be loaded. I LOVE the way these taste. I do NOT love the different sizes! I’m paying for full sized bars, not less portions...you can see the lot number and time stamp. Someone needs to get on the ball in production.

  • Ack! Phooey! Never again!
Size: 12 Count Style: Cookies and Cream
I’m writing with regards to the Cookies and Cream flavor. I bought these when they were on a Lightning Deal. The price was around $10 for the box. I use Subscribe and Save every month to buy other types of protein or meal replacement bars. I thought I’d try these to see if they deserved a spot in the rotation. The ingredients list looked good. Then they arrived and I tasted one. Before I explain the taste, please understand that i’ve eaten bars over the last few decades. In the old days, sometimes you had to “power through” to get some down. They were not pleasant tasting. This bar, however, was distinctly UNPLEASANT in taste. It had a smell, taste, and loooong aftertaste that was, I don’t know, medicinal. Salty, sweet, bitter, nor sour quite describe it. Like a combination of mold and rubbing alcohol maybe. Absolutely NO taste of cookies nor cream. In addition, my dog refused to eat a piece and she’s a living garbage disposal. I’m not sure if this is a one off box or what. I’m unwilling to find out. Never again for me. I give this one star. ... show more

  • 4 specific reasons why Quest Double Chocolate Chunk is a great candy bar substitute
Size: 12 Count Style: Double Chocolate Chunk
Quest bars are *not* created equal. But Quest Double Chocolate Chunk Protein Bar gets our preferential vote. The ingredients and nutritional information stand out significantly in comparison with their other bars. Here are our 4 very specific reasons for preferentially purchasing this particular flavor: (1). This particular bar does not list sweeteners that cause metabolic or health problems. Its principle sweeteners are erythritol and steviosides (and both are substances that exist in nature, and which have been shown not to have negative effects on the body). Most of their other products contain sucralose (which is usually sold under the trade name "Splenda," and clinical studies show that sucralose alters the normal microbiome, and interferes with some metabolic functions. The only other Quest bars that do not list problematic ingredients as of 5/2020 are the "Cinnamon Role" and "Chocolate Hazelnut," which happen to also be good choices, through their nuts sometimes taste a bit stale. (2). Each bar provides only 1 gram of sugar, which is about 1/4 of a teaspoon of simple sugar. We like to keep our simple sugars down in our diet, so this low simple sugar content is a plus for us. (3). The total fat content of each bar is 7 grams. Their other bars contain more unnecessary fat. Their Cinnamon Role bar only has 6 grams fat per bar, which is better, while their Hazelnut Chocolate has 8 grams fat currently. We would have rated the Double Chocolate Chunk bar 5 stars if the fat count were lower, and if the bar were to be constituted of organic ingredients, and if the cocoa were to *not* be alkalinized (Duched). After all, the alkalinization process destroys the antioxidants in the chocolate, thus removing its nutritional value. (4). Each Double Chocolate Chunk bar delivers 20 grams of protein, and we love that! Look, all these bars are highly processed, and are generally *unhealthy* to begin. But when we have a choice between a junky candy bar (with 20-50 grams simple sugars and15-30 grams fat) and this one (with 20 grams protein and 1 gram simple sugars, and 7 grams fat), we always go for the latter. It is simply the lesser of a world of evils. ... show more

  • Great tasting and convenient way of getting protein for the day!
Like all of the protein bars that it offers, the Quest Bars offers the exact taste that you expected from its flavor selection. If it says, "White Chocolate Raspberry," I don't know how they do it, but it tastes like White Chocolate Raspberry literally! I've pretty much tried all of the Quest Bars. The taste is great, and has a decent portion of protein for you to take in for the day. The Quest Bars, however, is still not the best method. If you aren't too careful, you can quickly find yourself eating more than one bar since they aren't as 'filling' as you would thought they are. Next thing you know, you are consuming more than 200+ kcal or even 600 kcal because they are both sweet and not that big of a portion per serving size. Furthermore, fats and carbs are equally high, so it can quickly knock you off of the ketogenesis if that's the type of diet that you are following. Nevertheless, I do recommend if you are always on the go and need a convenient method of protein intake instead of protein shakes. ... show more
