I got really excited when I heard there was a new flavor of Quest Bar. (I have tried most, but not all, of the existing flavors.) I was somewhat less excited when I heard this was a fruity flavor, as I am not much of a fan of the Quest Bars that have berry flavors in them. For some reason, those typically don't work as well for me. But, I figured, I could make myself eat a whole box of them and then just never order again if there was an issue. Anyway, I had a bunch of calories left over last night (I am counting calories this year) so I tried one. And it was actually quite good. Definitely the best berry flavored Quest Bar I've tried (I wouldn't say the best "fruity" one because the banana nut ones are still better, at least in my opinion). (These have 190 calories per bar, for what it's worth.) The berry flavor was relatively subtle and there was a definite "muffin" background to the flavor, as well. Texture-wise, this was great. It was softer than some of the other Quest Bar flavors I've tried lately (like the pumpkin pie one that was far too chewy) but not sticky, and it had some inclusions, for lack of a better word (blueberry-colored bits and such), so the texture wasn't 100% homogeneous. You can see the full ingredients list if you zoom in on the product images. This has dairy-based ingredients so it is not vegan. Please note it also contains tree nuts (almonds) It has an incredible amount of protein (21g) and fiber (14g) and is very low in sugar (I don't do the whole "net carbs" thing, but if you do, you can check out the nutrition facts panel, which is also available in the product images). It also has some fat (only 6g). I love that there are both protein AND fiber in these; so many bars have protein but lack the fiber. I tend to just use these for snacks, but if you were so inclined, these would actually make a respectable breakfast if you are in a hurry (perhaps paired with some yogurt to add a few more calories and some fat). I went into eating these expecting to not be "wowed," but I actually think I will incorporate this flavor into my regular ordering rotation. ... show more

Large and great-tasting. They also hold up in the mail when the weather is warm. Price is not bad considering how much protein you are getting

I've been eating quest bars for years but had never actually tried blueberry muffin before purchasing these. I was a bit worried about not enjoying the flavor, but I was DEFINITELY surprised by how tasty these are. The bar doesn't look super appetizing, but once microwaved for 20 seconds, it seriously tastes like a muffin. There's actual blueberry chunks in the bar and small pieces of white chocolate and some type of graham cracker type of crust that all pair really well. Out of the many protein bars I’ve tried, this blueberry muffin flavor stands out as one of the best. The taste is surprisingly natural, and the texture isn’t overly chewy like some other brands. I bought these bars because they are delicious, but when I opened the package, which had never been open before there was one bar missing. The box says it has 12 bars and there were only 11.

For as long as I can recall, protein bars have struggled with a chalky, gritty consistency. Here, the Quest folks have broken that up almost imperceptibly with a hint of puffed corn or rice. Good flavor too.
