  • Very Nice and Very Tough Tarps!
Size: 10x12 Light Duty Color: Blue
I purchased a 6X8 heavy duty and a 10X12 Light duty. I bought these tarps to use camping for a shade shelter mainly. The tarps comes with a little sample strip so I played with it trying to tear it... It was a no go on the heavy duty one So I poked a hole in it with my pocket knife, it would not tear any farther than the slit. On the light weight one I did the same test it would stretch when pulling on it and when I poked a hole in it and tried tearing it stretched out to more than double before tearing any farther. I had to really pull on it. These Tarps have to be a 100% improvement over crappy poly tarps that usually only get thru part of a wind storm before they are coming apart in the rest of the wind storm. or rub on something and get an instant hole in them. I always hated poly tarps. The way the tie down grommets are made in these tarps is extremely tough melted in place very heavy duty! I don't expect to ever have them rip out! Canvas tarps are so expensive now days, They also have their problems especially with Black Mold if you put them up with any moisture on them. I expect this tarp to last a very long time. ... show more

  • Works Great for Our Greenhouse but Failed as a cover of our subfloor construction. See update.
Size: 16x20 Heavy Duty Color: Translucent
Update: We had good luck using the 16x20 tarp as a greenhouse cover, so we decided to make the investment for a 30x50 tarp to cover an OSB subfloor of the house we are building. It is monsoon season in Arizona so we wanted make sure we were buying a quality tarp to protect our build. We paid $229 for the tarp and frankly, expected it to actually be waterproof. We secured the tarp around the perimeter of the deck (24 x40 feet). After the first big storm there were areas of water, UNDER THE TARP. We removed the tarp and let everything dry out and once again secured the tarp covering the entire subfloor. The next heavy rain and the same thing happened. Water under the tarp. Let me be clear, this is not condensation. This is rain water that has permiated the tarp. I decided to contact the seller and explain the situation. Here is what I wrote: **Hello! I have purchased 3 tarps from you and have been very satisfied with your products until now. We purchased a 30 x 50 translucent tarp to cover a wooden deck. The tarp is not waterproof. With the tarp secured in place, rain gets through the tarp and gets the deck wet, completely defeating it's purpose. At $229, I had hoped it would indeed be waterproof like the description indicates. The previous purchases were of the same tarp, smaller sizes that we use as a covering for our Greenhouse. We never have noticed water dripping through, but then again, because of the tunnel shape of the structure, the water quickly runs off. The Deck cover however has standing water on it after a big storm, and the water finds its way through the material.** I got a very quick response explaining that the tarp is in fact 100% waterproof but what I am experiencing must be the result of humidity or ground moisture (The subfloor is 36" off the ground). Word of caution. If it absolutely, positively has to be waterproof, I cannot endorse this tarp. As a greenhouse cover it has been excellent. But to prevent water ( which may pool on the tarp) from getting to the item being protected, you may want to look elsewhere. END UPDATE This is the first tarp I have ever seen with a 5 year UV warranty, according to the sellers description. This was NOT indicated or mentioned on the package. We're using it to cover the greenhouse and we like the look of it and the amount of light that is transmitted. I'm going to hold them to the warranty! Hopefully we won't need it. ... show more

  • Excellent value for the price!
Size: 6x8 Light Duty Color: Blue
I built a shelter for our herd of cats, and needed a way to enclose it for the winter. The idea is that, come Spring, we just unhook the tarps, roll them up, and put them away till next winter. Currently, the tarp tops are mini-bungied to lengths of conduit (ends closed to reduce wasp incursion), that are mounted in 'grip-clips', anchored to the frame. I added a VIVOSUN Heavy Duty Peel & Stick Zipper, for easy Human access, for feeding the ravening hoard, and cleaning the cubby pads. On breezy or windy days, the front overlap would flap, and let the cold blow in. I fixed that with 3M/Scotch's Extreme Fastener strips. Better than hook and loop, and really holds! Both the fastener strips and the zipper were easy to apply, and are holding well to these tarps. I wanted to use the light duty tarps, to be sure my plan was practical, before investing in the heavy duty ones. Shady but translucent, these definitely cut the wind. The back corners, and zipper bottom will be left open except in the worst weather, to facilitate cat access. The cats can be hard on tarps, as they have razor sharp claws, but even though they have tried, there are punctures, but not any significant tears. I am impressed with these, given the low price, and obvious durability. ... show more

  • Amazing quality tarp!!
Size: 12x16 Super Duty Color: Blue/Green
I waited a couple months to write this review because that’s usually how long other tarps last before they rip apart or disintegrate in the Texas sun. I love this tarp so far! It’s made extremely well and the measurements were spot on. It’s not as bulky as most tarps and looks new even after several rounds of severe weather. I use this for part of our chicken area and added pool noodles along the top rail of our fencing so there are no sharp pieces touching the tarp. I’ve probably spent over a thousand dollars on the woven tarps that claim to be heavy duty but aren’t so am thrilled to have found these Techpaulin tarps and will definitely be ordering many more! Update 5/19/2020 This tarp is amazing and still looks as good as the day I put it up over our chicken area! Any other tarp would have been torn to shreds by wind and storms by now or grommets would have torn out or seams would have ripped apart or the color would have faded. I could go on an on about how great this is and am so happy I found it! I’ll never purchase any other brand of tarp again and plan on getting another for our miniature donkey barn area soon. ... show more

  • High quality tarp
Size: 8x10 Heavy Duty Color: Translucent
This tarp works great for what I needed. It is not clear, but you can see shapes thru it. When it rains at our RV, it usually comes in sideways and our patio area gets soaked. Which means we can't sit outside and enjoy the rain. We used bungee balls to attach it to our awning arms and it is working awesomely! ... show more
