Look--it's not for fashion. It's not cute. And you may stub your toe on it from time to time at first. But if you're like me and have a pet who likes to hide out under your king-sized bed whenever you need to give them medicine, or take them to the vet, etc., it does actually work. And so far it is holding up. In terms of assembling it: It wasn't hard and didn't take too long, though the first segment I put up took a while. It's aggravating that they only sell the tall version in the longer (83") segments -- for a king-sized bed where one end is flush against the wall, you need both 2 longer and 1 shorter segment to block it off completely. I had to buy the 83" version in tall and the 70" version in the shorter size and just hope that she wouldn't be able to knock it down or go over the top of the shorter section. Fortunately, having tied it together to the taller segments on the sides with zip ties and all segments secured with the double-sided carpet tape and the taller segments zip-tied to the legs of the bed, it seems pretty stable and secure. My cat has not yet knocked it down or gotten over the top; in fact, though she was pretty intent on figuring out a way to get through it for the first few hours, it seems like she gave up on that relatively quickly and I haven't really seen her trying again since that first day--so that's a plus. I was afraid if she kept working on it she would figure out a way to break in eventually, but I guess it is sturdy and complete enough that she didn't perceive any weaknesses or gaps and just gave up trying. That said, no idea if this will last forever. I'm guessing that at some point I may need to replace the carpet tape, especially if I end up needing to move it to get to something under the bed (because yeah, I also use under the bed as storage for things I don't need very often so...it's likely that at some point I'm going to need to break in myself). But they do provide plenty of carpet tape, so I have a ton left over--not too worried about that, as long as the rest of it stands up to the test of time. Having tried other "solutions," notably "scat mats" (spiked plastic sheets that are supposed to be uncomfortable and keep cats away from places you don't want them) under the bed that did almost nothing, this is definitely the first solution that has actually kept her out from under the bed for more than a few minutes. Once you buy all 3 sections, it's not that cheap; but as long as it continues to hold up and keep her out, I'll go ahead and call it worth it. ... show more

I got these to keep my cats from hiding their toys under the bed and playing underneath it. Before, I was using flattened cardboard boxes and clips as a makeshift barrier but it didn't look nice and the cats would eventually figure out how to get under the bed anyway. These panels were a prettier and more secure alternative. It took almost 2 packs of panels to wrap around my queen sized bed but you may need 3-4 packs if your queen bed isn't pushed up against the wall like mine is. Came with everything needed to secure the panels but the tape included doesn't have great adhesion so I just used extra zip ties for added security. I also needed a few more of the longer zip ties but they were easy to get at the store. It was easy to snap everything together and the panels seem sturdy enough for what I need them for. I've had them on the bed for about a week and the cats have yet to try to mess with them. However, I don't think these panels would hold up against a dog or puppy if there's something they want under the bed. The panels can come apart to access any storage underneath the bed so long as you don't zip tie every single panel together. You could also secure the panels to the bottom of the bed with something stronger like Gorilla Tape if you really wanted to, but I have yet to need to do this. I bought 2 sets of these blockers in black to keep our free roaming pet rabbit from going under the couch and also biting it. They blockers sturdy enough for that purpose but probably not if you have a dog. The blockers work for our sectional which is nice(see pic). However, white/clear zip ties were enclosed in with the blockers instead of black ones that were shown in the post. Black ties would go better with it, thankfully, I found some and used those instead. In addition, black frames used be used for the black sets of blockers so the whole thing “disappears”. The white frame is a bit off putting to me. So far, our bun hasn’t gotten under the couch while the blockers are in place. I did not use the tape to hold the blockers in place. I only used the connectors, except for at the ends, which I used zip ties around the couch feet. I used a connector at the bottom of the “L”(corner) and a zip tie at the top to hold the two panels together bc I couldn’t get the round connector to work. We like these low profile blockers bc we used to have gates in front of the couch, which looked ugly but also was a hassle to move around when we wanted to sit on the couch. Now there’s no hassle but the couch is still protected from little bunny teeth. 🐰 ... show more

I think I read another review before I purchased that said they had to get 2 packages to cover their desired area. Defiantly true, so I would have ideally needed another pack but was a bit too pricey to commit. I used these to keep my guinea pigs from going underneath the TV set when I let them play and run around during floor time. For reference, a guinea pig website does sell these same sized 'grids' and they're about the same price. **Fur and pet hair sticks to these really easily... I should have bought the white, so it was less visible** ... show more
