This didn’t work with my apartment front door. There was absolutely no room between the door & the frame. I think something like this would work best with us maybe an office door or a hotel door or even a sliding glass door. I liked the set up idea of being able to secure it to the door, where it was only able to be uninstalled from the inside, so I felt like this was going to be a very secure product. I also liked that the security lock that they had was really a different type of screw and needed a special screwdriver that came with it to actually remove the device. Had this worked with my apartment door I would’ve definitely kept it. Most apartments are made with door frames that are pretty seamless with padding to shut out indicts or any excess air coming from the outside. So I’m sending this back and I went ahead and just ordered an external mount that actually allows you to put the ring doorbell at any angle, and the angle has a lock that you can set so no one turns it away I primarily bought this because of the psychotic neighbor that’s been living next-door to me. My personal problems with all the noise disturbances (full-blown argument outside with her boyfriend on multiple occasions at different times of the day The moment they moved in) but also the police are constantly at her door looking for her boyfriend who has a warrant out for his arrest, whom she keeps hiding and pretending she knows nothing about him so with a ring doorbell, I could have proof that they arrive together sometimes. I got so bad with her. I had to file a police report on her personally and I had enough audio evidence just from recording on my iPhone that the apartment has already issued her a 30 day notice to vacate so she has to be out in 25 more days But she proceeded to bang on my walls even after I’ve called the police on her so she’s still creating this activity around me no stop it’s been stressful! And I have to be prepared for if she wants to yell obseneties At my door again (and playing victim) and if she’s going to yell she’s going to kill me at my front door again, because at the moment I didn’t have my recorder on when she said it. And lastly, I’ve had my fair share of packages stolen, including a huge order of stuff that thank God Amazon credit it before, but had this been any other type of order from some other location they may not have credited me my money Also, these Amazon drivers put my stuff on other peoples doors and he never take a photo of the actual door number so I don’t even know where to go to find my package but nonetheless, I at least want to be notified as soon as a package has been left outside of my door Then there used to be kids that would bang really loudly on my door because I’m on the first floor and then they would run. That took me a couple years to figure out who those kids were that were doing it only because one of the scragglier’s in the group was hanging out around my apartment and I made sure to tell him to tell his buddies to stop doing that or I’m gonna call the police on them. But yeah, I’ve also had my pumpkin and some decorations stolen from my front door Mind you I live next to Apple Inc. here in Austin Texas so I don’t live in the hood! I moved out to this part of the city suburbs because I know this is a damn good part of town But apparently there seems to be some pretty ridiculous people moving into this complex and parents who don’t watch their children they just let their young kids who are like seven years old to 10 years old play around the community So now I can get video because sometimes those kids will come down my breezeway on their bikes ... show more

Bought this for my apartment so I can remove it when I need to. Fits my ring camera. There are little pieces of kinda rubber that you put in there to make it fit really well. It does bend a little if you tighten it too tight.

I’m very happy how this product actually kept my ring camera safe. The product is so good, I can’t even open it. I haven’t used the product for long but just recently my ring died and needed to be charged back up. When trying to screw the product off, the small little bolt got stripped. The product & the ring have been sitting on the side for awhile now. I’ve tried to open it or even break it but no luck. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. ... show more
