    • Broke after 3 minutes of use
Horrible product. This item stopped working after being used for 3 minutes on fairly soft dirt. When investigating the problem, we found an arcing spark inside the plastic housing. Frustratingly, we didn't use this until after the return window closed. Don't bother with this one.

    • Makes quick work
This machine did exactly what I wanted it to. It digs quick and fairly light weight for the equipment. I've had a gas one before which was needing 2 people, this one I could use on my own. It would be nice if I had another extension that was longer, but I'm happy with it getting the job done.

I definitely want to review this one because I picked this up on a whim to do one job but it's come in handy several times. I was not thinking high at first figured it wouldn't work but I was really wrong. It had zero problems drilling through clay with the 8 inch bit with extension. Not only did it just walk it's way down but the reverse it's really great. Iv now used it on 6 different jobs that I didn't even know I needed it for and for the price was great to have around for the extra jobs. Definitely recommend priced right to justify getting it for one job and knowing it's there for what ever. It really didn't even seem to bind up at all just hummed and dug. The other thing is with the extra bits it's even nicer because I was soon in the need of a trench tool to run some wires but I think I am just going to use the 4 inch bit and walk a drill line instead.     • Gets the job done
I was planning on renting one of these to build my wooden fence so when I saw this I was excited. I’m a bit worried that after we build the fence fully (we’re like 2/5 of the way done currently) that I may not have need of it anymore but I like that I’m not on a time constraint to hurry up and get it done so I can return it. My husband has been like a kid in a candy shop with this and has been living his best life out there drilling holes. He says it works very well, even in our harder ground areas that have a good amount of rocks throughout. He did say it’s a little heavy but it’s not really to hard to use. ... show more

    • Excellent Excellent Product!
The media could not be loaded. I will start off by saying I have used the gas powered augers, 3 point augers on tractors and hydraulic augers on skid steers and this auger will hold its own and in some cases outperform the 3 point auger and gas auger. The MAJOR advantage to this auger over those 2 is that it has reverse that’s right reverse, so if you get it hung up on a root or rock you can just back it out no problem. I was definitely skeptical about an electric unit but this machine has serious torque. All 3 of the augers are interchangeable with a simple pin and key. The extension really made a back breaking job easier by not having to bend over so much. I drilled a 6” hole in dirt easy even after we haven’t had any rain in almost 2 months. I can’t speak on the longevity as I just received and have only used a few times but I will update after more use. Definitely something to keep in mind is to take your time and go slow and let the auger do the work and don’t force it. Hold on tight because they can grab a root or rock and really twist on your arms. Advantages No engine noise or fumes from gas REVERSE Comes with 3 augers and extension Not to heavy to handle Built in safety and straight forward operation Easy to switch augers out Disadvantages You have a cord to deal with but that’s part of it I would like to see something on the power cord to help keep the extension cord plugged in. This auger is great. It doesn’t have the speed as the gas power augers but it had great torque when you hit a large rock where it will just roll it out of the hole. My gas auger does not start half the time or more and it’s a great feeling knowing the auger will start every time you want to use it. Could not be any happier with it. I was planting 10 bushes in the yard and had all the holes dug and bushes planted in 1 1/2 hours. I would recommend this Auger to anyone who wants an electric Auger. ... show more
