my ground was too stoney and hard to use this but it was not the tools fault... it started first time and worked well and i well built ... much better than some others slightly under the price of this one...

  • Great value
Size Name: 52cc+1 bit(8")
This is an excellent tool and was awesome at digging post holes for fencing. Very powerful and easily dug through compacted soil. I would highly recommend this product. Very easy to put together and started right up. The mix is 40:1 and I recommend using premium. I did not do this but thinking that adding some foam padding (pool noodles) to handle would be a great way to prevent bruising on legs when you hit a rock! ... show more

  • Great product for the price
Size Name: 52cc+2 bit(6"10")+3 Ext(8"12"20")
drilled 50 post holes in two days without issue. my only concern is from day one it will only run with the choke set about half way, It has not affected it's performance at all and it starts quickly.

  • Amazingly powerful and easy to start. This is a winner! And the customer service is the best!!!
Size Name: 52cc+3 bit(6"10"12")+3 Ext(8"12"20")
This little machine is incredible. It is more powerful than necessary and it does the job in literally seconds. After hurricane Ian we had dozens of snapped fence posts so we decided to buy this auger to save some time and backache while replacing them. The machine came through with flying colors, digging hole after hole with ease and little effort. As other have said, beware of roots and rocks, but other than that it digs through the dirt like a knife through butter! When you first start it, pump the ball until gas fills the tube, then, with the choke ON pull the string. Once you get a little sputter, TURN THE CHOKE OFF and pull the string again and it will start instantly. Once it is warm, there is no need to use the choke to restart it. I shut it off frequently while digging for one reason or another, and it always starts right up. And I am using regular gas from the local gas station, again, always adding stabilizer when I mix gas with the oil. Make sure that you empty the gas tank and run out any gas in the carb when you put it away, and always add stabilize to your mix just as an added safety. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to dig a bunch of holes in little time with little effort. We did have a problem with the machine when it was first delivered (delivery damage) and contacted their customer service through amazon. They responded immediately and solved my problem without hesitation. They are responsive and clearly service oriented. In the unlikely event you do have a problem you need not worry, they will work with you until you are satisfied. Lots of praise for the speed and responsiveness. ... show more

  • Wow!
Size Name: 52cc+2 bit(6"10")+3 Ext(8"12"20")
This thing is now getting cheaper than when i bought it! I used my dad's HF auger and decided I needed one! This doesn't have the power or heavier duty bits that dad's does, but it does fine in our sand and light clay. The fuel mix ratio is very odd. It starts easy, every time. The HF auger bits would cut roots. This won't. If you're digging anywhere with even finger sized roots, run barely above idle. Why? Because when it grabs a root, the bit stops and the powerhead spins. It will twist your arms like a pretzel, faster than you can let go or jump off the ground. I literally thought it ripped my forearm muscles. I was sore for days. I use a Sawzall to cut the roots I hit, then keep digging. I'm about 1/3 done with a 500+ foot fence, no hiccups. The extensions will be nice when I get down near the creek and need to dig 4 feet. Try that with manual post hole diggers. The HF auger didn't have extensions either. As long as I don't have the starting issues others complained about, I call this a win! Buy it! ... show more

  • Strong and efficient
Size Name: 52cc+1 bit(12")
Very pleased with Auger. Put in about 35 plants (3 gallon) in a single afternoon in an area where we had several Leland cypress trees removed/ stumps ground down. This thing has plenty of power. It will power through very small roots but not so much larger roots left over. This auger along with my manual tools (traditional post hole digger, standard ax, long and short pick ax, and blade shovels ) made the job much faster. I used mostly the 10” blade which made the unit probably 30 something pounds. You’re going to need to be comfortable handling something that easily has the capacity/ potential to get out of your control/ hands. Although the machine will help with your job, using the 10”blade required muscle when hitting roots as it would stop the blade. In the areas with no roots, this thing was great and created the needed hole in about a minute or two. I also used the 6inch auger which I think would be easier to handle for most home owners. I regret not having it for the manual digging if my larger 15 gallon trees. Starts easy. Runs smoothly. Where protective gear (ear protection, long pants, heavy duty gloves) and expect the typical wear and tear on your back/hands (and left thigh where I mostly anchored the torque) but MAN, this thing can make your work so much more efficient and faster. Would buy again. Was shipped in two boxes (from 2 different areas) and arrived relatively quickly. Also, seller was very responsive to questions and helpful prior to me using. ... show more

  • Incredible Customer Service!!!
Size Name: 52cc+2 bit(6"10")+3 Ext(8"12"20")
I have to say I'm completely surprised at their customer service. It's been over a year since I purchased this auger. I didn't use it for what I originally purchased it for, so it's been sitting in my barn unused for over a year. I had issues trying to get it started for the first time and sent them a message with low hopes of getting any help. I ended up actually getting it started yesterday ( I just put in a new plug and lowered amount of fuel in talk, I'm pretty sure I overfilled.) I opened email this a.m. and found a message from seller with advice and also willingness to help if there was an issue with parts. I was shocked because it's been quite some time since my purchase! I will definitely recommend and purchase from this company in the future since they apparently are quite willing to stand behind their products! And by the way, it ran like a charm and did exactly like I needed in minutes instead of using a hole shovel and killing my body and taking all day! ... show more
