The gooseneck is STRONG. Bending this thing into the exact position I wanted was a workout. I also do not recommend trying to bend it into shape while it's clamped on to your desk, it's much easier to bend it into shape before clamping. I needed something to mount my webcam on that would point down at my working surface and not at my face, and this worked perfectly for that. The neck is long enough to get high enough off my desk to give a clear view of everything. Besides the flexible neck, there's also multiple adjustments on the mount itself (ball joint, 360-degree rotation, and a ~160-degree hinge. Great product but the goose neck is VERY strong. Not as bendable as pic shows imo. I purchased for a child to do online tutoring so definitely not gonna work for us. Will be returning. Overall strong,good quality, good price.

I would say its a solid product. However, the clamp that holds the desk requires A LOT of strength just to open it up. The desk I have is shaped weirdly so I even thought it would have grasp of the entire desk. So now, it just sits on the edge. One day, the desk moved so much, you could hear a loud CLAP, and the entire thing tumbles to the ground. Regardless, it does it's job, but if you dont like the position, it isn't flexible. So you need to use both of your arms just to get it in the right position you want it. ... show more

I was having some difficulty with my vidcam, as my large curved gaming monitor(s) didnt eactly allow a sturdy fixed position for the Cam on top. I would have to readjust it frequently and have trouble getting it to stay right where I needed it. I have a desk with multiple displays and the Cam just didnt want to sit firmly on any of them. This stand is an excellent solution. I can clamp it on my Vesa mounting system, and now its not attached to any of the displays, allowing me to adjust displays without effecting the cam, and if the vesa mount does move, the cams aim/angle can be quite easily adjusted on this stand. Update: I have noticed that any movement of my desk vibrates the display mounts a little, which in turn makes the vidcam wobble slightly, the stand itself is quite sturdy/stiff, I think this is going to be a common issue with any stand of this design. ... show more

I was blown away by how inflexible this "flexible" webcam mount is! I don't even believe a human, without tools, bent it into the shape shown in the picture. Dang thing is more like a piece of rebar than a "flexible mount". Completely ridiculous given it's supposedly designed for a webcam. You could probably mount a TV to this thing...and I'm not talking about today's flat screens. Could probably hold a 90's tube-TV without bending. Immediately returned as I couldn't get my camera to aim in the direction I wanted...never mind adjusting it after mounted. ... show more
