I had originally purchased a different webcam that was highly rated on amazon, a no-name brand, that worked fairly well for about 60 days and then started to develop a permanent fog in the video that it produced. The lens and aperture of the off-brand camera had no soil on any part of it and was totally clean. Regardless it would just produce what looked like night vision during the day regardless of having all of the settings turned off for low light. We decided to spend the money on this camera and I have never seen a more clear camera in my life for this price. Not only does it render the most crisp and awesome frame rate (says it's 60 fps but tracks faster than any 60fps camera I've ever had) it produces a crystal clear image in the dark or even a well-lit room. Now when we join our Zoom meetings we have the clearest camera of anyone in the entire group that's participating. The only downside to this camera is that if there is any feature on your face or in your room or space that you don't want shown you might as well not turn it on because this thing will show every detail of everything in the entire room in crystal clarity. Lol I will definitely be ordering another one of these to use for my laptop as a portable camera for YouTube videos. Also the audio is excellent with the microphone. Very very clear audio as well. My other camera would drag and lag and frame drop constantly even at 30 FPS. This one produces 1080p at 60 FPS and doesn't lag or hog up my system memory or anything like that.     • Great camera - covid pricing
I bought a cheap camera for family zooms. The image quality was horrible - a dumpster football without enough weight for distance. So, rather than take another chance I bought the good one that's rated high, well everywhere except Amazon. Unfortunately the pandemic has doubled the price until Logi can catch up with the new demand. And Logi is still Logi. So the software is still Logi. When I downloaded the driver it deleted my old driver for an old 2000 (model not year - it's old) and the 2000 driver is no longer available. But the video quality is great. If you are not a big time pro, buy this one if you can find it for less than $50. Or try one of the knock-offs that look similar. I have a friend that has one and the video looks great from this end. But he has a usb digital mic and doesn't use the built in ones so I can't speak for the audio . update: now at $70 probably a best bet. there are a lot of other cheaper options available. But, you take a risk of getting absolute junk and returning it, or a good deal. I now have four cameras, three of them Logi not 780p, and this one is the easily best. Most of the Logis that look like this one are basically the same video quality. ... show more

I bought this camera for my daily work VC. Image quality is great. The camera does auto white balance and auto focus and has brightness control. Tested on windows and Linux.
