I'm using this on my Nikon lens with a UV Haze filter installed. Fits well. Stays on. I never use the lanyards on my caps. Some may like them; I don't. The elastic sometimes falls off the lens, or it is in the way dangling when I'm shooting, making noise banging against something or other, or getting dirt or sweat in it, etc. I prefer to just stow the cap in my pocket or camera case.
