10/14/24 - Update Contact from proyama sent a replacement trigger piece pretty promptly once initial contact info was navigated. Their customer service can be reached at customerservice@proyamatools.com. Very quick to respond once contacted appropriately. Service department is sending a new trigger part and threw in weed eater head as spare. Used brush blade for around 3 hours today, with manipulated throttle cable. This thing is nice, plenty of power to spare, runs great, starts easy. IT's a bit heavy for normal residential use, but I bought this for small saplings and ditch reclaiming. Works great for heavy work and balances nice with the harness. Setup, start and idle works fine, but DOA due to misassembly. The throttle lever piece has a very delicate little protrusion that captures the throttle cable end and this was broken as received thus allowing idle only. ... show more

I recently purchased their 4-cycle gas powered mower and was pleasantly surprised by the high performance, easy of operation, quality of construction and price. I decided to buy their weed/wacker as I started to cut my own lawn between my twice monthly commercial lawn maintenance. I received the package fairly quickly just like the mover. When I opened the box, to my surprise and in my opinion, this is a commercial grade, heavy duty weed/wacker. I later noticed the description as EXTREME DUTY. They are not kidding. It is over-kill and built to take on much larger jobs than that of a 1/4 acre home in So. Florida. It is heavy and you must wear the full harness supplied. After I set it up, I went to the home improvement store to buy 2-cycle oil for the fuel. I noticed the inventory of weed eaters, everything from the battery operated models to the gas powered versions. They all looked like toys compared to the one I just bought. Yes, they were light weight but the difference in built was like comparing a gas powered scooter to a Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. Surprisingly, the engine is made by Huasheng, which is a high quality motor I have used in the past for other applications. The only time consuming part of putting together the unit which was 99% already factory assembled was figuring out how to put on the harness and adjusting the handles on the unit to balance the machine so that it was neutral balance if you took your hands off of the unit while it was still hanging from the harness. Apart from that, it was easy to set up. To sum it up, I highly recommend this unit if you have a commercial lawn maintenance business or you have a 1-acre or larger home. For my application, it is more than I expected but at least I know the light application I will be giving this twice a month during the summer grow season in So. Florida should allow this unit to last me a life-time. This is not for women or men that lack muscle. The low price they charge fools you in to thinking you are receiving a light weight application model. I give this unit a 5-Star for price and quality. ... show more

Ordered the unit Sept 25th, 2024, 3 days before Hurricane Helene. Due to cleanup of flood debris could not use the unit until Dec 5th, 2024. Upper unit (engine & throttle) work fine, string trimmer works fine, edger does not work. Explored the differences in the edger and trimmer and found the edger has a larger diameter shaft than the trimmer. The trimmer and edger shafts engage into the female coupling on the upper unit. The Outside diameter of the trimmer shaft is approximately .254" and the outside diameter of the edger shaft 12 approximately .308". So, I am able to use the trimmer but not able to edge my yard. ... show more

I have 3/4 acres of hilly, forested land with lots of undergrowth that I needed to clear. Did a fair amount of research on various tools. Settled on this one. Read all the negative feed back. I consider this an excellent buy for the price. Came with lots of extras. Cheap extras but useful. It took two or three uses to get the harness, machine balance and handle adjustment to my liking. I am 71 so clearly any work like this is tiring. The machine starts first pull every time. I can slash through anything 1 inch or smaller with no hesitation. I have cut saplings as big as 3 inches with a bit of care. The machine is well built and should last a long time if operated properly and with proper maintenance. I'm not a fan of buying Chinese products but if they make good stuff at a tremendous savings it's hard to resist. ... show more
