  • Exceptional electric corded Unit. Surprisingly well made
The media could not be loaded. More 2024 - on removing the blades because they do get dull. You can tell when it doesn't pull the branches in as easy and take a bit longer to chip shred the branches. It comes with the T shape tool where one end is the Allen wrench to unscrew/screw the blades two set screws. They are on very very tight. Wish the extra set of blades also came with extra set of setscrews. Recommend first clean off the setscrew holes as it will have wood dust accusation in the setscrew which will not give you a good grip, resulting in stripping marring the setscrew hole. Then use a good screwdriver and insert into the T handle so you have more leverage power to unscrew the blade set screws. The other challenge you have is that the Allen wrench part of the T -tool is a bit too long shank if the Allen wrench part so it's good for flat surface but ...the disk assembly is at an angle, so it will titter totter when unscrewing. See pics. Even though the instruction manual states to remove the metal blade defend block that is held with multiple black screws. You don't have to and don't recommend cause if you have to do the blade replacement/switch blade sides, the constant screwing and unscrewing these multiple black screws will wear out the plastic it screws into. All you have to instead is just slowly rotate the blade assembly to get at the blade set screws. See my pics. Also the instruction manual says to use a screwdriver to jam the blade assembly so that it doesn't move when trying to unscrew the setscrews. There is a hole to jam the assembly So make sure you find that hole for your screwdriver to jam into. See pic. Or for me it was easier to use a socket wrench (15mm) onto that center large black hexhead bolt there to hold it in place while trying to unscrew with the T handle/screwdriver. See pic. Update Dec 2024 - Chip shredded several branches from a gingko tree that was getting too close to the overhead service line to the house. Ginko is a softwood so after chipping/shredding I took a look at the blades, blade defend block and blade disc assembly. You will get some sap buildup there depending on the wood being chip shred, so seasonally you may want to clean that off abit so that you can better loosen the screws holding the blades. I did that with a cloth and WD40. The chipper shredder continues to perform outstandingly. Original Review - Each year I have loads of branches that I would just bring to the curb for pickup. So I purchased this unit to see how it would chip/shred the branches so I can use as a mulch or add it to my compost pile so that it decomposes faster. It produces very good bits of chips/shred. See my video of this. It is more than I expected. The unit is well constructed, it is not cheap plastic feel but very durable plastic that can take being knocked around. It's not brittle plastic, it has a tough feel plastic which I like alot. Assembly was very easy just attached the legs and wheels. The instructions are well written and provides diagrams to follow. I will suggest that when doing this, get the wheel and axle assembly onto the two prong legs first, then set it to the body of the unit to screw down. The instructions has that reversed. Just one noted typo on the box body. The word Corded is misspelled as "Coroed" Hopefully they will fix that in the future packaging. Looking inside of the cutting disk was very impressive. It's all metal, the blade disk, the blade defend block. All this is then screwed securely into the heavy duty plastic body with 6 screws. So the cutting being done is basically all metal. When it comes to tools to do the assembly it's provide in the T shaped tool provided. So that is very convenient. Regarding sound noise level, it's about 80-83 decibels but not sharp. This is considered on the decibel chart as Loud, so I wore ear plugs. When I was feeding in branches my sound meter showed about 90-93 decibels, so recommend wear ear plugs or headsets. I took an amperage reading and I was reading about 8.5-8.9 amps and when shredding branches it went to about 9.3 - 9.6 depending on the size and hardness of the branches so that's not bad at all. I did not experience any time my circuit breaker tripping at all. Never and also make sure to use heavy gauge extension cord as indicated on the manual or else the shredder motor may overheat. My unit stay cool. No overheating at all. When I rolled it across my yard it rolled well and no indication of tipping over. It rolled well. It comes with a collection bag that I felt was a good size for carrying the chip/shred branches easily. Worked well when putting it down as mulch in the garden beds. Recommend lay your branches straight in a pile so that you can feed them in easily rather than wasting time pulling branches out of a mixed pile while the chipper is running. I did my branches in those intervals of lined up piles then turning on the chipper shredder. It also comes with extra two sets of blades they are double sided which is great and the tool is provided as well in the box. Overall it's an exceptionally well made unit for residential homeowner use for the price range. ... show more

  • Excellent value and works great!
The media could not be loaded. The Proyama wood chipper is eating through limbs like crazy! The blades are super sharp and durable! The electric motor is strong and quiet. Pros. Quiet, lightweight, blades are reversible and it comes with an extra set, has plenty of power for the rated 1 3/4 inch limbs. Cons. I wish the cord was a little longer but that is easily fixed with an extension cord, and it would be nice if the hopper was slightly larger for more leaves. Overall it is a quality product at a fair price and the pros definitely outweigh the cons in my opinion. ... show more

  • I love it
Just got it several days ago and have used it to chew up tree trimmings. Works great. Easy to assemble and pull around. Chewed up everything I put in. Took branches about 1 1/2" thick with no problem. Fairly quiet. I think it is worth the extra money since it it is well made. I like that the blades are reversible and you get extra blades. It comes with the tools needed for assembly. If you want to use a ratchet socket, the nuts need a 1/2" socket. I recommend it. ... show more

  • It chips wood
There’s a bit of a learning curve— what it can and can’t do. You can jam it if you hurry it too much. 1.5” is pushing it. But I’ve used it to reduce a large pile of branches into a mulched pathway out to the compost pile in the woods, and plan to use this on a regular basis Edit: Having used this for several sessions, I’ve noticed that it’s losing some efficiency. So I thought I’d try changing the blades (that is, flipping them to use the unused other edge). However I can’t loosen the hex bolts that hold them in place. 1/4” Allen wrench doesn’t quite fit, and 7/32 is too small. Maybe a 15/64” would work, but who has one of those? I’m downgrading it from 5 to 3 because they should ship a tool that fits. I also don’t like the screw knob to open up the machine, you have to turn it about 40 x to open or close the lid. Some sort of latch would be better. Finally, the wheels are too small and/or too close together, making it quite tippy when pulling it across uneven ground. A minor point. Final edit: I got a 6mm Allen for my socket wrench, fits perfectly. Changing blades makes a huge difference. ... show more

  • Turned huge pile or tree debris into 3 barrels of beautiful mulch!
Love this product! So easy to operate! I thought these little wood chippers could help me with yard debris but I am surprised at how heavy duty it is. I am so happy with the mulch! This is not what you need for leaves as most of them go through barley cut, but for any branch under 1.5 inches it is great. I think this was one of the cheaper models but I am pleased! Don't worry about bagging up trimmed tree limbs and dragging them to the curb...and I have free mulch! ... show more

  • Great little product.... with reservations
Very very durable and easy to use, but had heck of a time getting blades off to change. Thank good for son in laws. Does tip easy with transporting, design flaw and does not mulch leaves. But as you can see in pictures, did the job. All done in about six hours total working time. Can deal with the tipping since it doesn't weigh very much just wish did leaves too. Nice to have my yard back. On to the next project of bushes to cut out and mulch. ... show more

  • Bark is louder than its bite
Extremely noisy and requires a great deal of effort for minimal results. Not satisfied with this machine and will be sending it back to Amazon.

  • Little powerhouse.
Light in weight but very powerful. Great for small stuff and easy to move around. I like it that they include an extra blade.
