STURDY NYLON POOL NET RESISTS TEARING - A tough nylon mesh screen is less likely to develop holes & easily collects lots of debris. Soft, flimsy nets develop holes easily. ROCK SOLID ALUMINUM ALLOY FRAME & PROTECTIVE PLASTIC COATING - An aluminum frame flat pool skimmer is slightly heavier than plastic, but handles more weight & won’t easily bend or break. The pool skimmer does a great job! The netting is dense and catches the smallest of debris. Sturdy and the quality is visible right away. Not flimsy. The pro head brush is same on sturdiness and quality. I wish it was easier for me to use it on the side walls of our fiberglass walls in the deep end. However, it’s probably just me having difficulty. A stronger person may not have a problem. I purchased this brush specifically for the deep end as we have areas that have a little calcium build up. This skimmer is the best for tiny stuff. Feels sturdy. Every spring in South Florida, the Live oak trees near our pool screen enclosure drops tiny debris from the male flowers on and right thru our screening. This skimmer works better than any other we have had over the years. Pricey? May seem so, but it they will replace so how can you go wrong? ... show more

This pool rake (skimmer) picks up tiny particles. It has made such a positive impact on our pool's cleanliness. I don't have to clean our other filters as often. This company stands behind their products, offers amazing warranties, and teaches me more about how to care for my pool. They sent a coupon code for a future purchase. They also sent a fun e-book filled with unique pool games. My kids have love the original ideas! I have purchased four "other" brand pool poles since owning a pool. They ultimately break at the friction grip part of the pole. I wish I had known of this company from the beginning because it would have been nice to purchase only one pole with the lifetime guarantee. The next time one of my cheaper poles breaks, it will DEFINITELY be replaced with the ProTuff pole. This is a very sturdy and well-built skimmer. It removes the very smallest particles on the pool surface. It does drag quite a bit when just skimming as the mesh netting is so fine. The less expensive skimmers work well for the larger particles and with much less drag but this is the one for the fine surface particles. The single push pin to attach it to your pool pole can be difficult, it would be nice if it had two pins. One to depress the main pin as it inserts into the pole. ... show more

Rock solid net that feels strong and works really well. Yes, its very heavy compared to cheap plastic ones but it holds up much better. No problem lifting a net full of leaves or kids pool toys. Lasted a whole summer without breaking which is more than I can say for the other ones I purcahsed.
