I read many reviews before purchasing and found the odd complaint about the jug clouding up, the pour spout causing messes and the basket not being easy to clean... others said overall it was a great buy. I was a bit hesitant, but went ahead and purchased it anyway. Glad I did! I clean the inside of the jug with a sponge bottle brush and the outside with a dishrag - no clouding at all, none. Pouring tea out is a snap IF you align the arrow on the lid with the spout... as it is supposed to be aligned for pouring. The basket, which is easily removable after brewing is quite easy to clean. Just unscrew the cap on the bottom, hold the basket over the garbage can (large opening down) and press a bit on the "plug" of tea leaves and most of it pops right out and into the garbage. Then just rinse any remaining leaves out and you are done. Takes maybe 2 minutes and was as easy as falling off a log. It fits easily on the bottom shelf of my fridge and gives me perfectly brewed iced tea, a whole gallon at a time! Love it! Since it take about eight hours to make good cold brewed tea, once I'm about a third of the way through the jug, I pour the remainder in large mouth mason jars, put them in the fridge and start another batch. If you aren't sure of the tea to water ratio, I started with 40 grams of orange peko to a gallon of water - it was good but just a tad weak. Now I'm using 45 grams of tea and am totally satisfied. EDIT: I'm now using 70 grams of black loose leaf tea, that for me is the sweet spot, ... show more

The Primula Big Iced Tea Maker and Infuser has been a blessing. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, with it's cheery color concepts and modern design but it makes tea at home a lot easier. With the built in infuser/tea holder you can easily do hot brew or cold brew tea in minutes. While I've only used it for tea, this would also work brilliantly for lemonades, homemade punch or any other infused fruit beverage. Will be purchasing more soon! ... show more

I have been using this to cold brew green tea. It works perfectly for this, as the mesh cone is well designed. The pitcher fits in the refrigerator door, as advertised, and I like that it's a gallon size, so I only need to make a pitcher every two or three days. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because when pouring a glass of tea, the spout sometimes sends the tea out too wide and I end up with spills.     • Adequately replaced my Mr Coffee iced tea maker

I have used a Mr Coffee iced tea makers (3) for over a decade. When my last one stopped working I decided to try alternatives since the Mr Coffee ones were out of stock on the sites I checked. Enter Pimula. To-date I am very satisfied with this product. I like that it is an all in one and I can just boil water on the stove to make my tea now instead of having to have another device in my kitchen. The filter nicely holds my gallon sized tea bags. The pour spout does a great job of not spilling or dripping. The lid/seal on top is nice and tight, preventing leaks. The lid also stops initially halfway open to limit the amount of tea that can come through to ensure an over pour cannot happen. So far the plastic has not started to show any staining like my pitchers used to. The only negatives I have to say about this are that the tea is definitely lighter than the Mr Coffee maker, making the iced tea a little thinner in tea flavor. Shaking/swirling the pitcher does help a bit to make it a little darker. So this could be a good or bad thing depending on how strong you like your iced tea. The other negative is that the opening is a little small for me to get my hand in to clean the inside. So, I have to use a stick based sponge to clean. These negatives were not enough for me to take off a star though as they were very minor. ... show more

I have been searching for the perfect pitcher for cold brew coffee and sun tea, and this is it! I have gone through so MANY pitchers. Glass ones, plastic, Tupperware ones, ones made for cold brew/infusion drinks, etc. and not a single one has lasted (Tupperware lasts forever, but the ones I’ve had are really hard to get seals clean), or become my go to. But this pitcher has! I got the green one first, to see if it was any good, but I’ve recently purchased the red one too. I have one for cold brew coffee, and the other I use for ice tea and sun tea! But it can easily be used to make infusion water (put fruit in the core filter). This really lives up to what the description says it can do; A full gallon size, unbreakable, shakeable (I do this to get all the flavor from cold brew coffee sediment before pouring), the silicone handle is non slip, and you can put hot or cold water to brew your drinks to your preference! You can use bag or loose leaf tea, or coffee, in the core; and the pitcher does not hold onto the smell of the drink (which is great if you use it for cold brew coffee). But by far the BEST feature is how EASY this thing is to get really CLEAN! I’ve had so many pitchers that were ridiculously hard to get really clean. But this is easy; you can unscrew the pour spout/handle to get a large hand & sponge into the container, and to fully clean every nook of the spout. You can slip the silicone part of handle out to clean the handle. The core comes out easily (always take it out after brewing/before pouring to avoid grounds or tea leaves in drink), and the bottom of the core can be unscrewed to FULLY clean the mesh filter! So easy! I absolutely LOVE these pitchers! They are more expensive than I’d normally spend on a pitcher, but I see having this for so long that I won’t need to buy another cheaper pitcher! ... show more

This Iced Tea maker is outstanding, it took the place of our dates Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker. Follow the directions and the tea will be perfect every time. I boiled water in the kettle on the stove, added the 1 gallon tea bag and after pouring the boiling water in to the pitcher I closed the lid and let it steep for 5-10 minutes. Perfection.
