Expensive for what it is. But its yeti...I use this daily at work on 12+ hr shifts. The local water sucks where I work so having a gallon on hand is not only healthy but smart. I load with ice and cold water and keeps cold for days. Its not the lightest to carry around, but itd a gallon jug if water what do you expect? ... show more

Very satisfied, I decided to splurge on myself for my birthday with the Yeti. I drink a gallon of water everyday and for years, I've drank it was as it warmed throughout the day. I've finally decided I'm older now and deserve some cold water on the hotter days at work. This will keep ice for about 48 hours honestly, I bought two, 6 big cube trays for cheap and it was all well worth it. Trust me I was skeptical at first because for the price I could of got 2 or maybe 3 cheaper brand, but at the end of the day I only need one currently. I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for and I believe if I would have went cheaper I wouldn't be as satisfied. **For the people that complained about the lid, it does help to open the cap first to help release the vacuum seal when opening. I will agree the lid IS tough at times (I find it most difficult in the mornings) but that's what makes the insulation so good. I have left this in my car on 90+ degree days, in the sun and still the water has been cold enough to give me brain freeze. Also! Side note, this can also be used as a small cooler for a couple sandwiches, etc., Or can be used for hot soup!! ... show more

I read the reviews before purchasing Yeti gallon jug, especially the lid won't loosen ones. After a long day of work and the jug has been in the outdoors heat, I screw off the little cap and put it on the magnetic part on the lid. I, then, put the whole jug in the fridge. An hour or so later, I'm able to get the lid off so I can refill it with ice. I love my jug. I was running out of water until I got this. Now my water bottles act as my backups. I've emptied the jug after an 8 hour day on the hottest days (feels like 115°) lately and there's still ice in it. Worth every penny! ... show more
