This infuser works well and is nice to be able to also use it for making cold brew tea. We've made all sorts of fruit and vegetable water with it with no problems. Just note that if you decide to muddle fruit in it that some of the bits get into the water. I'm talking berries (ras/black/blue berries). If you open the lid about half a turn you won't get the pulp. So you can muddle to speed up the infusion and not get the mess. If you like the pulp just open the lid more. I have not seen any staining with it so far. Some have complained it is plastic and/or you can't remove the top. If you read the description the Material is Tritan Plastic. You can completely remove the top. Unscrew cap and/or unscrew the whole handle/lid. Both are threaded and will come off. That allows complete cleaning. Note: Pay careful attention to the pricing based on color. The black handle/lid cost twice what the red handle/lid was selling for. No difference in parts or size. I'm sure this is Primula and Amazon playing marketing games so if you're not fussy about color you can save money! ... show more

Best pitcher purchased. It gives you 3 ways to serve. You can make your own ice teas in it, you can put fruit in it or you can ice it up. Awesome options, not bulky, eady to handle, tight seal, good colors to choose from.

I bought this pitcher because several of my favorite teas are only available as loose leaf, but I prefer to drink them iced. The tea basket makes it a breeze to make iced tea, either with hot (not boiling) water or as a cold brew. I am also interested in trying cold brew coffee in it but have not done so yet. I was surprised that the chill core freezes so quickly. It froze solid in a regular freezer in under 20 minutes and made it much easier to chill the tea. I have not tried a fruit infusion yet, but the fruit basket looked like it would be great for sliced fruit. The openings aren't so large that it will let pieces of fruit into the water. I'm also very pleased with the size and shape of it, and how sturdy the lid/handle is. The pitcher is oblong and fits perfectly into the fridge door, which saves valuable space in the rest of the fridge. The only complaint I had at all is that the instruction manual is not as thorough as I would have liked, and it took me a little while to figure out the mechanics of the lid, stopper, and infuser core, but my wife figured it out just fine, so maybe I'm just not smart enough for it. :) It's fairly simple. In case anyone else is confused, the lid has to be on the pitcher, then you insert the core and twist it until it locks (all three cores have little flip-up handles to make this easier), and THEN put the stopper in and twist it to close it. Apparently I just needed a diagram! ... show more

I do not like the taste of water so I recently started looking into infusing it with various fruits & veggies and wanted to have a good, solid pitcher to get things going. While including such useful tools as a tea infuser & ice core, the one feature of the fruit infuser that I love is its length. Others that I researched are much shorter and I like the idea of the produce sitting lower in the water and dispersing the good stuff even more. I’m no expert but I appreciate the extra real estate. I bought this through the Amazon Warehouse and I have to say that it was every bit as good as any “new” purchase of the same pitcher but at price savings. An excellent consumer option Btw, in case you’re curious, the recipe in my photo is a simple combination of orange slices, layered with mint leaves. Delicious. ... show more
