If one listens closely and the background noise is vey low then a heartbeat can be heard. But otherwise the magnification of the sound is poor. Not too surprised based on the price.

I got this because I needed extra length, the stethoscope I had been using was too short and over the years I’m getting sick of the bending. That extra couple inches to length does help. I also didn’t want to spend another $180 for a stethoscope so I chose what appeared to be a well reviewed one. I’m very pleased with it. I have a Littmann Cardiology III and this, though not quite as good with acoustics, is very good. I have no problem leaving behind the expensive brand name one and will carry this now. Good length, good acoustics for what I do, and don’t care if I need to replace it (as it’s the same price as repairing my littman which had to be done already. No offense to littman, it’s an excellent product, just way overpriced. ... show more
