Features

  • ElectroStop is an electrifiable, prefabricated portable mesh that arrives at your door as a complete fence. Posts are preinstalled at set intervals. Strong plastic struts reduce sagging between posts. Multiple rolls may be connected together.
  • Works well in containing sheep, goats and guard dogs, while repelling coyotes, stray dogs and bears.
  • Very easy to setup and move. Takes approximately 10 minutes to setup a roll of netting. Important to perform routine vegetation maintenance to minimize grass/weed load on the fence and reduce energy drain.
  • MUST BE PROPERLY ENERGIZED TO BE EFFECTIVE! Energizer is not included. Recommend approximately .25 joule of energizer per roll of fence. For optimum results, we recommend using a Premier Solar or AC/DC energizer that fits your specific needs. Use only low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizers. Warning! Do NOT use continuous current energizers with electric netting.

  • Great idea, execellent quality but depending on your needs might not be ideal
We have six Nigerian Dwarf goats that really needed to get out into pasture after a long winter. I ordered three lengths of electric netting from three different manufactures. The Premier Electrostop works great and is easy to install. I got the one with a single pin. The other products both had two pins. The premier is sturdy and well made and pretty easy to install. What I found is that one of the competitive products was cheaper, equally sturdy and much lighter and thus easier to install. The premier has vertical strands that are molded polypropylene, presumably to make the fence stand straight with a minimum of effort. What I found is that it was actually harder to make it stand straight and the fence was quite a bit heavier than the other product. I am buying two more lengths of the competitors electric netting. All the products worked great for keeping the goats in. I gave the goats a day or two of training and they do not even test the fence now. For larger goats this might not be so true. ... show more

  • I love hate this fencing.
I use this for mini nubian goats. Even my naughtiest goat respects it. It's amazing that I can set it up anywhere on my property and have them happily doing all my brush clearing for me. Here's the downside: the thing gets caught on everything it touches. I live in the woods on a slope, and am not very tall. I think I'm getting better at setting it up; in the meantime, it's teaching me the patience of a monk. ... show more

  • Fine for certain uses
I use mine for pigs and it works well. They are about 80 lbs each and learned not to mess with it. Cows inadvertently got near it and it did not deter them just fyi. Does sag a good bit over time but I reinforce it with step in hot wire posts.

  • Stays Hot if You Use the Proper Box--Sags a lot
This fence is a great deterrent when you cannot install post and no climb. The biggest complaint I have is the span between the posts--it is too long for the flimsy posts so it really needs supplement posts between the fixed posts. The netting sags. If you do not have a straight and even path, and even then I think you'd be hard-pressed to get it tight enough not to sag, it will droop. The seller does say other posts can be used. Maybe change that to "must be used." You must follow their instructions for the type of hot box to keep this fence hot. If it is not hot, and there is a blade of grass on the other side, you will have a goat wrapped in netting and posts, horns, neck, torso, feet, everything--a total disaster! It has happened three times with two goats but now it seems we've got it figured out. ... show more

  • Not sturdy enough for my goats
This fence installed easily enough and is very lightweight and flexible to allow lots of different configurations. Unfortunately, the stakes are so flimsy that they bent as I attempted to drive them into our hard ground. When I added our goats to the pen, one of them bolted into the fence and became entangled. Upset by the shocks he pulled over one of the posts, bending the stake at the bottom out of shape by about 45 degrees. This is a small goat (Nigerian Dwarf), and it's discouraging that even an animal of this size is able to cause permanent damage to the fencing. In softer ground, and with calmer and gentler animals, it might work just fine. But it's not really a good solution for vigorous bucklings that will blunder into it, and should be sold with that information provided. ... show more

  • This works if you train your goats to respect it.
I like this fence so far, I used it to keep my boar buck and a wether from getting away in the woods. I trained them to the wire so they wood know it is hot and do far this is the only thing keeping these guys from having total access to the 35 acres of woods behind our farm.

  • Not Very Sturdy
Not real happy with this fence. The posts only have one stake so they are not very stable. We have another electric net fence that has two stakes and is much more secure than this one. We are going to go out and work on it some more, but I may be returning this. Yesterday we had 40-50mph winds and that is expected again today. The fence didn't stay very secure in the wind. Gonna give a couple of days, but it will probably be going back. ... show more
