My 4 year old grandson got this PREBOX Remote Control Monster Truck for Christmas, and it was the PERFECT first RC Monster Truck for him! This toy is just the right size, and it's sturdy enough for him to play with. As a first RC toy this Monster Truck is a lot of fun! The battery lasts for a decent amount of time, and it's also sturdy when it runs into things. This is easy for a younger child to handle, and it brings lots of fun! I got this as it's the first remote controlled car that I've seen that has a built-in SMOKE MACHINE! I had some doubts about this remote control truck but after it's first charge and go around I can definitely say I'm impressed. The shell of the truck is soft material, so the dinos outer shell won't break if you run into stuff. The tires are soft rubber too, so they have good traction and won't break or wear down over time. The batteries are like normal ones for these types of items. It's one 18650 battery with a short cord put on it. Works well, and being and 18650 it should last awhile too. You get two batteries in the box and that's a plus. The truck has many cool features such as it has lights under the outer Dino skin and you can have them ON, Blink, strobe or just be off. You can control that from the remote, which is nice and easy. It also plays music and the songs are well-known dance/techno type songs. I don't know their names, but I recognize them very well. The coolest part is the SMOKE MACHINE! I thought it was a gimmick as you would have to keep buying smoke solution like the fog machines use for Halloween and raves. Nope, this uses just TAP WATER and works immediately. I put in super cold Ice water as that's all I had at my desk and the fog/steam came out immediately upon pushing the button on the remote control. Super cool. It's pretty fast for what it is, a small plastic truck, and you could have fun on pavement and grass. Not super off road material, though. The controller is a bit cheap. Not that it doesn't work, but the joysticks are small, chunky and plastic. And they are very basic. You can only put the left stick UP or DOWN for forward or reverse, and the right stick is only LEFT or RIGHT. Works just fine, but not 360* joysticks that many controlled cars have these days. Overall this thing rocks and is cool with how well it works, the lights, the music and the fog and all of it is controlled from the remote. Amazing fun! ... show more

This remote controlled monster truck with bull horns is a lot of fun with vibrant colors. The set comes with the truck, 2 rechargeable batteries for the truck, a usb charger for the rechargeable batteries, a handheld remote (with a lot of functions), a small water bottle to add water to the truck, for the spraying feature, a screwdriver, and an instruction manual. It is so easy to use, I didn’t even need the instruction manual. The rechargeable battery fits well. Some RC cars have such a small battery compartment, it is a fight to get the compartment lid back on. The remote needs 2 AA batteries, not included. Once everything is charged and has batteries, off it goes!!! This truck is so much fun!! The remote controls the music - 3 tunes or no music. The remote also controls the lighting for the truck. It can have no lights, solid lights, or flashing lights. The remote also controls the water spray. I love that everything can be turned on or off. Some RC cars, the music cannot be turned off and that is a huge turn off!! The remote is very easy to control. Right, left, forward, backward, etc. The big tires on this truck allows the truck to climb over some things that smaller cars would not be able to climb over. It does very well on concrete, over rocks, in dirt, and in sand. It isn’t waterproof, so I wouldn’t direct it through puddles. I had so much fun that I drained both batteries in a little over an hour. So much fun and so easy to use. The description shows ages 8-12 and the 4-7. I think it should just be 4+, because I’m an adult and had a lot of fun and I can’t wait until the batteries are charged again. ... show more

The first one came in the mail in a orderly amount of time. However, the body was cracked upon opening the box and the truck didn't turn properly. If it had been in good shape and worked it would have been awesome. The music and lights were super cool. I requested a replacement wich I received within two days. The replacement was in immaculate shape and steered properly. However, once again, there was an issue. Less than 20 minutes of driving the truck just shut off. I tried the second battery to no avail. I even charged both batteries. The truck was just defective. ... show more
