Blower would not start for first time. Called Poulan customer service and they told me to go to a service center a couple towns away. Went there and was told by the mechanic that they don't work on Poulan products (he was nice enough to try and start it for me, and after swapping out spark plugs, he found out that no spark was getting to the plugs). I called Poulan back, and after waiting on hold for about and hour, they told me to go to another service center. I asked them if they would at least reimburse me for gas for THEIR mistake, but they would not. So I returned the product and will not be purchasing any Poulan products after this experience! ... show more

Cannot run at full power. Amazon was great but Poulan Pro customer service was beyond awful. Cuts out once throttle is fully depressed. Poulan Pro first wanted me to take it to a service center. Service center wanted nothing to do with it and told me to seek a replacement directly from Poulan Pro. Subsequent phone calls to Poulan Pro were a waste of time. They refused to take responsibility or offer any solution. Given the lack of customer service from Poulan Pro, avoid and look elsewhere. In addition the serial number on box was missing from product itself. Serial provided on box did not match Poulan Pro database. ... show more

This is a great blower for your money I purchased it a month ago I live in Northeast Ohio I saw plenty of review saying used it once then it died couldn't use it again if you know anything about 2-cycle engines you know you need a 50 to 1 mix ratio I prefer using the premix gas you buy at your local hardware store because it does not have any ethanol in it and for you that don't know ethanol attracts water so you cannot let it sit in your gas tank for more than 2 days or you will destroy the engine if you buy the premix gas you will have no worries you can let it sit in there for up to two years started up and it will be just fine this Backpack Blower I opened it up started it up it was 28 degrees outside when I first got it it started right up my recommendation is do not use your own mix gas by premix gas because of the ethanol they kills 2 cycle engines ... show more

What an amazing blower! I purchased the Poulan Pro 48cc. backpack blower a few weeks ago to clear the leaves and mixed debris in my horse pastures in order for the grass to grow. Not only does this blower do an amazing job with leaves, it also clears old piles of manure, hickory nuts and compacted and half rotting clumps of stuff in low lying areas like a dream. This is the 2nd backpack blower that I have owned yet the first Poulan Pro product... I will now never purchase another brand. It is light enough to not leave you fatigued after a couple of hours, and I never had any issues with starting the unit. The only thing I would change is the instructions on how to assemble and where the primer bulb is located. That took me a few minutes to figure out. ... show more

It ran one time and then it started to fail. If the choke isn't half on the engine will sputter and die when using the throttle. Apparently I cannot return it as I am just over the 30 day mark. Unfortunate. Will not likely buy another Poulan Product. I called the customer server and was referred to a service center but there would be a charge :( not good on a new product. ... show more

Manufacturing defect. Quit after a couple of hours. Been waiting for three months for the promised new unit...of course after leaf season. Been a headache for the local service company here in Lynchburg, but they have been really good about follow up and contact. Worked well for a while...oh, when I went to check the spark plug to see why it stopped and wouldn’t restart, the wire ripped out of the boot and the spring clip attached to the spark plug needed a pair of pliers to be removed. I have had both electric and gas powered hand leaf blowers, but none compare to this one. It does the job many times better than the hand ones. Takes a little getting used to (starting it then putting it on your back), and it might feel a bit heavy after an hour or so of use, but still is the answer to all my needs. Leaves, sand on driveway, etc. Good product. Caution: I tried to run it with my pre-mixed fuel/oil solution I had at home. Would not get up to full speed. After mixing a new container with the (included) synthetic two-stroke oil, ran like a champ. ... show more

If it works, it is great but starting this devil is elbow hurting. Direct service support does not exist but redirecting to private service centers that may not return phone call for days. I have been calling all the local listed service center on their website all of them refused to honor any kind of warranty. They said that this is a cheap poor quality blower. Amazon must help us resolving this problem or take it back and show it to this company. ... show more
