We got the small size for our parson Russell terrier (little taller than a Jack Russel), I love that it’s simply two zippers and it folds into a very tidy and well made little bag. It fits it’s under the cargo cover in the Yukon XL trunk. She’s never in it for long, so the size is perfect for her. If she were in it for a looong road trip, it would probably be on the too-small side. She always rolls her eyes as we lock her into any crate, but she doesn’t seem to mind this one much. The price did feel expensive, but once I got it, I saw why. We are traveling with two dogs cross country. Both dogs have car anxiety and I have been trying to find out how to help. I can fit two of these large crates in the back of my crv (def a little tight but it works). Both dogs have done so much better being in the crates. This zip together softcrate is perfect for my small dogs when we go to dog events. The screen door rolls upward (not down) and has velcro to secure it open if needed. There is a nice pad inside. The crate fits easily into the supplied carrying case. This is a soft fabric case and is not appropriate for agressive dog behaviors. Your dog should be trained and comfortable in this crate, but it can be destroyed if the dog chews and scratches at the crate. I will be using this crate at dog school and dog competitions where I need to keep my dogs comfotable when not working. I purchased this crate to replace an older similar crate from Pet Edge that is no longer being made. The zipper on the old crate finally broke after many years of use. My dog has a high prey drive and is triggered by motorcycles, joggers, bicycles, etc. Traveling with him in the car was a nightmare as he would bark and lunge at the window whenever he saw something that triggered him. Since using this in the backseat, he will occasionally whine, but no more barking or lunging. I keep the side flaps closed to obscure his view, but he still gets enough ventilation. Car rides are much less stressful now. The crate was very easy to set up and looks good. I was able to attach the handle on the top to one of the headrests for more stability. I bought one for my office and one for home. My two small dogs fit perfectly when needed but usually only one uses it for bedtime. Super easy to assemble and travel with. I'd suggest future models have a strap to hold it together, for carrying flat for easier travel.
