First of all, many thanks to the first review that suggested adapting two of these to accommodate tight fits. Genius idea! We have an extremely tight space and I'd looked everywhere for something that would allow for a sturdy mount while also looking clean and professional. Two of these and some tinkering is the best solution I was able to find. Connect the two skinny plates. The gasket will still fit. If you put the connection at the bottom then the bell will feel rock solid when people push it, but there will be a bit of the plate visible above the device. If you flip it then the plate won't be visible, but there will be a tiny give when someone pushes the button. Personal choice - I went with a cleaner look after trying out both ways. As you can see, these plates will provide about an inch of separation from the wall when using both front pieces. The skinny plates aren't made for mounting screws so you'll need to expand them a little. I used a 9/64 drill bit and wiggled it around a bit to enlarge. Worked perfectly for the mounting screws that come with the nest (they seemed a bit better than the ones that came with the bracket). Nothing else to it. Used this to install an ADC-VDB770 doorbell camera from Alarm.com. The threaded holes in the doorbell mount-plate align perfectly with the ADC-VDB770 mounting holes. I did, however, need to purchase some metric, M4-.70 machine screws, as the screws that come with the bracket, meant for the Nest Hello, are not long enough. Be aware that the threads of the holes are metric and not U.S. Otherwise, I had an old, broken bamboo cutting board that I cut down to close to standard electrical wall-plate size to cover the old screw and wire holes in my brick wall. I then mounted this bracket to that piece of cutting board instead of directly to the wall. Works perfectly for me, and looks great too! Update: After a few days, we decided to replace the smaller, cut-down piece of broken cutting board with the larger piece. I did not cut this larger piece, but just sanded and sealed it. This works well with my security camera. I ended up not drilling any holes or what not but I used Velcro to security my door. It works really well to make sure that I can get the proper angle for my door. Highly recommend to anyone. It works, though it isn’t as secure as the original mount (someone could easily undo the cables and mount) and the mount is a bit too narrow - the mount piece should have been as long as the rest of the unit as some doorbell holes like mine are wider and therefore won’t allow a proper mount. Pros: it works as advertised and gives you a good angle Cons: not very secure mount for my Nest camera as it could be easily removed, since both cable and mounting screws are visible and could be readily accessed.l and tampered with. ... show more

We purchased this to help mount the Nest Hello doorbell we recently purchased. It's working great! We have a small space where our old doorbell was, plus we have window sidelights on each side of our door, so space was limited to mount the Nest. This helps jet it away from the wall, plus we are able to angle the Nest so the video captures almost our entire porch. Installation was easy & all I needed was a screwdriver. :) ... show more

When the home was built, the stone work on the front was fitted with a tiny doorbell & would not allow me to directly install a nest alternative. This adjustable mount was perfect! It gave me just enough space to mount the nest camera off of the stone while still having the space needed to swivel in place. My doorbell is 90 degrees from my door, i.e. it is on the wall next to the door and not on the same wall as the door. Bought a SimpliSafe doorbell camera with my system and had to accommodate this angle. This little bracket gives me ability to replace the doorbell as instructed but turn the camera 45-60 degrees to face the entrance. Works great. The mount is a little protruding but that’s not the mount’s fault - I have a stucco exterior and can’t exactly blend it in. I’m very happy with the out come and the doorbell/camera works perfect with the flexible mount. I did have to drill one hole to accommodate the slightly different attachment points in the back. This mount is made for NEST camera which is similar but not exactly the same. One small drop hole and it worked great though. ... show more
