This is the second Poolwhale skimmer net I have had in about two years, so I think they are reasonably durable. The net finally broke, with a 3 or 4 inch wide hole, but I suppose that is to be expected with routine use over that amount of time. The plastic frame held up well and I appreciate the angled lip which aids in scooping up debris from the bottom as well as the tab on the exterior of the net which aids in shaking it out . ... show more

I bought this about a year ago. It is nice and wide, and easily scoops small debris from the bottom. The netting finally degraded after 1 year. I wish I got a pool rake years ago. I used this the entire season and it is so much more effective. Dan than trying to use a pool, vacuum or skimmer. I have problems with acorns all over the bottom of my pool daily and this rake made it a breeze and held up through the entire season.

Purchased this as I failed to get a pool cover in time before all of the leaves from the trees surrounding my pool decided to fall and blow into our pool. Several floated and our Betta skimmer got those but a LOT somehow made it to the bottom of the pool. My pool vacuum couldn't get these up so I decided to try this pool skimmer net. Oh my goodness what a save. The ease in which this net picks up the leaves is remarkable. You can pretty much just run it along the bottom of the pool and the leaves get scooped right into the net. Also, it keeps the leaves in if you move it to other areas of the pool pretty well. A few minutes of scooping and my pool bottom was cleared. Also this net is very easy to empty.
