Im on my third one. I like this net because it strains out very fine debris from pool. Additionally, the plastic frame serms to hold up well. Plus the price is great. However, the netting material does NOT last long. Im in Arizona, and the material only lasts about one summer, if that. The netting is kind of like a slighty thicker nylon pantyhose. Sorry, cant compare to anything else. The sun will eventually make the material rip, since its thin. But it works well to skim pool until I need a new one. ... show more

This looked good but It did not even hold together for one summer. We didn't use this net often because we still had out old one. But the net tore before the summer was over. The company contacted us and replaced the one we had. Very good customer service.

This net is great! It has a weight at bottom that helps in pool and when turning inside out to dump debris in trash can. I was concerned it might not work with our old pole but the black attachment (included) fits perfect. The netting is finer than my original one (pic of old one included for comparison) so it picks up fine particles too. Much better and less expensive than my pool store replacement ($50). This is the second Poolwhale skimmer net I have had in about two years, so I think they are reasonably durable. The net finally broke, with a 3 or 4 inch wide hole, but I suppose that is to be expected with routine use over that amount of time. The plastic frame held up well and I appreciate the angled lip which aids in scooping up debris from the bottom as well as the tab on the exterior of the net which aids in shaking it out . ... show more
