The swivel-function hose adaptor connection helps in maintaining kink-free cleaning operation (hose not included). This is my 2nd one of these. For the money you won't find a better pool vac head. The 1st one I got somewhere else, it lasted 1 1/2 seasons. It broke when I had some algae and put a bit too much muscle on it. They can't take any sideways pressure. It broke in the weakest spot, right on the corner where splits at the bottom of the handle. It's made way too thin there, especially after the chlorine makes it brittle. 10 cents worth of extra plastic in the right spots would make this a great Pool Vac that would last until the bristles wore out. I will be more careful with this one and use the pool brush when the pool needs elbow grease. Other than that it's great. I noticed someone complaining about it not picking up leaves, I don't get it, it works fine on a 16'x32' inground pool. It has 2 pressure relief type gizmos that you can set to prevent sucking the liner up, or hard to push. I tighten theme right down, want all the flow I can get. ... show more

Worked well for above ground pool with vinyl liner, my old vacuum head started to get stuck to the liner because the bristles wore off, this one has the suction relief valves and that really helps. It is a little on the light side, but once you know how much pressure to apply when vacuuming and how to hold the attached rod, it's easy. Had this vacuum head several years ago and it worked great. Ordered a new one and five minutes into using it for the first time, the spring pops off and it detaches from the pole! Had to fish the spring out and was able to get it back together but not sure it's going to hold up like the last one. Really disappointing. Update - only lasted 10 minutes this time - locking pin doesn't lock. Back it goes ... show more
