I have used a few products and they all work.

  • works even with TFP method!
If you are a pool nerd like me you'd notice zero chem listings/ back of bottle photos, and wonder how bad this mystery blend will mess with your pool chems and if it'll add pesky metals, etc like many brands do, well, I decided to risk it on our behalf so you didn't have to. We didn't notice any negative effects using this and we balance our pool using trouble free pool's method. I did have some stains in the pool that were here when we moved in, and this greatly reduced them. I was then able to balance the pool as normal. The biggest thing to note, your chlorine levels need to be 5ppm or less. So if you're a TFP person, then make sure to do this after your Chlorine numbers drop from slamming. I tried this as part of the vine program. I would purchase this again. ... show more

  • Call on the AquaDoc!
Pool season is here and after a rough, rainy winter, AquaDoc Pool Opening Chemical Cleaner helped with the transition. My pool was a mess with leaves and debris and can't say just how much this product helped - but I'm certain it did.....and any help goes a long way when it comes to my pool. With my skimmer, pool vacuum & chemicals, sometimes you just need something extra like AquaDoc. The price point is good and did notice a lot of "stuff" was less existent after using. ... show more

  • All in one pool clarifier
We will be ready to open our pool in another month or two and I can't wait to use this. Our pool is covered all winter but it's still very green and cloudy when first opening. It can take a week or two to get the water clear and balanced with monitoring the water quality and purchasing whatever chemical is needed to combat the condition. I'm looking forward to eliminating the purchase of multiple chemicals and seeing how it works on dissolving leaves that always get in the pool when closing. The size is big enough to treat our whole 30,000 gal pool. I will update with any disappointments though I don't anticipate any knowing the balancing act we've gone through in the past to get the water crystal clear at the start of a season. ... show more

  • Seems to have helped clean up the mess that is our pool in spring
With winters getting warmer and using a mesh cover, our in-ground pool looks pretty nasty when I eventually open it up. I was offered this AquaDoc Pool Starter and decided to give it a try this year instead of my usual chemical routine. After an initial opening shock, I followed the directions and waited for the sanitizer level to drop before adding. While I'm reluctant to say my results were magical, I did notice I could see the bottom of our pool two days earlier than usual which tells me it's doing something. I did see the pressure on our filter go up a bit each day and backwashed the gray crud out daily. A week in, there's still a little cloudiness to the water so I'll be adding a little of my standby clarifier before I declare the pool "ready." I made some observations and notes opening the pool this year which is not something I normally do. But I want to revisit them next spring when I open the pool to help me really determine if AuqaDoc Pool Starter is something I want to make a regular part of my yearly opening. ... show more

  • pool opening
This product worked great. It left the liner looking like it was new. The leaves that had gotten into the pool were dissolved and the water was clear, not at all cloudy. I did not have to use any other chemicals to clean it. I balanced the chemicals and the pool is ready to be used.
