This vacuum works very well for me. It has excellent suction and I have no problem cleaning my 24' circular pool on a single charge. The charging port is a bit awkward but would not prevent me from purchasing again. However....I had some very fine silt in the bottom of the pool because when I installed a new sand filter I didn't backwash it well enough before using it the first time. The Pool Blaster sucked it up easily but it was so fine that it went through the catch bag and right back into the pool even after using the additional fine collection sock. I had to put my sand filter on waste flush and use my old vacuum system to suck it up and expel it from the pool but for normal dirt and small debris it was excellent at picking it up. The catch bag is fine for normal cleaning but if you have a lot of leafs it will fill quickly and require a lot of emptying. I have a large tree in close proximity to my pool so I know. I just decided to buy a vac designed specifically for leafs to avoid the aggravation. Being able to avoid turning the filter off, disconnecting the skimmer, connecting the vacuum hose, turning the filter back on and then reversing the whole process when done was a nice plus. Hopefully it lasts a long time and if it does I won't hesitate to purchase again when necessary. ... show more

I bought this as an upgrade from the smaller version. Using for an above ground Intex. Functions very well but the plugin connection is awful, I shouldn’t have to struggle plugging it in to charge it….poor engineering there. 4 stars.

We are at impressed with how quickly, efficiently and well we can do a quick vac on our pool. We use a Polaris set up on a daily clean schedule but found places were being missed as well as our built in corner seats in the deep end and lounging ledge completely missed. I’ve been treating a green pool. The algae settled. I wanted to vacuum it instead vac/pump to waste. This does not work even though it comes with a fine mesh sock. It’s only good for minor debris. Wish I could get my money back.

The media could not be loaded. When I first started using this product, I thought it was awesome. Under a year later, it is not effective. The wings on the head have curled up and the machine doesn’t pick up the dirt off the pool ledges any longer. Don’t be fooled by the reviews and the initial WOW factor. Save your money and stick with an automatic pool cleaner and the suction hose in the skimmer. It seems there are no substitutes. ... show more

I wasn't sure how well this would work but I have cleaned my pool several times now and it works great. It's pollen season so using this to spot clean instead of setting up the pump to vacuum has been a life saver! PROS: Simple design, great suction for algae and silt, responsive customer service. I'm a new pool owner with a fairly large pool that has a diveable deep end. The expensive robot cleaner that came with the house died so I've been struggling to clean the algae, leaves, and silt since we opened the pool this summer. This is not designed for grabbing big or even medium leaves but it does a bang-up job on algae and silt. It even does a good job of getting the corners and whatever that is where the bottom and the sides meet. I emailed about the charging dilemma (see cons) and received a quick response on a Saturday with a link to a video (minimally helpful because my hands aren't the strongest). CONS: The flipping charger is the biggest con. They clearly failed to user test this thing. Read the answers to the question I posted and you'll see how we are making it happen (spoiler: you gotta tilt it in). If you have arthritis or poor hand strength, this is not for you. The other cons are minor for me. If you are cleaning a lot of debris, you have to stop and clean the filter every few minutes; this is designed more for regular maintenance cleaning and is perfect for it. Related to these bigger cleaning jobs, the 4 hour charging time means it won't get done in one day. SUGGESTIONS: If you have a deep end, you'll need to put this on your sturdy pool pole so buy another if you don't want to have to switch it out every week. Vacuum as much as possible while you are in the pool; I even did a bunch of the deep end from my floaty, lol. Brush your top step cuz you can't use this for it. To connect the charger, tilt one prong into a slit and then carefully and gently as possible, push the other one in. (Ladies-of-a-certain-age, if you can, just give it to your husband or teenage son.) Finally, for larger jobs, start early and eat a good meal while recharging the first time; mix a pitcher of margaritas during the second recharging and the rest of the day is a breeze and the pool is beautiful at the end of the day. IDEAS FOR WATERTECH: Hey, if you're reading this.... Overall, great job! Some of us would pay for attachments like a bigger vacuum head for bigger jobs, additional filters, and an edger like you get with your household vacuum cleaner. And, of course, fix the charger. (Seriously, do some user testing with men and women, young and old.) ... show more
