We have considered the more expensive pool robots but you really don’t need them if you have this item. It doesn’t threaten your pool liner the way a squid style cleaner does either. We got rid of ours after having to replace ours right away. This item picks up not just dirt and leaves, but also hair pins and scrunchies that get lost in the deep end. It’s simple to put together and the charge lasts for five or six cleanings. It does get heavy to pull out of the water after cleaning, but no worse than a pool robot would be. The one thing that could be improved is the included filter. It’s very difficult to wash out the dirt and smaller bugs, etc. after use. I haven’t tried putting it into the washing machine as it’s a cloth like material that I’m afraid would damage it. Suggest you order a couple of extra filters, and we hope that a steel mesh one will eventually be available for easier cleaning. But this is easily a five star item because of its performance. ... show more

    • You NEED this if you have a small pool!!

I am only exaggerating a little bit when I say this may be the best purchase I’ve ever made. This thing is like a dirt devil dust buster for the pool, and it works 100 times better than I expected. I didn’t even know my pool was dirty, I have a filter (that we upgraded and were considering upgrading again to try to make the pool cleaner) and I screen the pool all the time, but this thing picked up SO much stuff I didn’t even see. (It was honestly a little gross 😂). There is a done of pollen and tree leaf degree that is too small and easily disturbed to get with a screen, but this thing picks it up no problem. I even bought a silt filter for it since I didn’t know how phenomenal the filter it comes with is. The one in the box will honestly do it all. It’s amazing. I know this is the updated more powerful version to the one I looked at a few years ago, but I’m willing to bet that the old one would have been fine for our smaller pool back then, and I’m kicking myself for not getting this sooner. I’m so glad someone talked me into this instead of a bigger pump. It seriously does clean for like an hour, even though I would have been totally happy with half that time. Even if this thing only lasts this one season, I would probably buy again next year just because it does such a great job and makes my life so much easier. I have been sending a link to this to everyone I know with a pool. 100/10 would aggressively recommend 😂😂 We do have a fairly small above ground pool, it’s only like 16ft, but I think this thing would be great even up to a slightly larger one. I think it would take too long for someone to clean like a huge in-ground pool, but for spot cleaning it would be great for that too. Also, I would actually look at instructions for rising out filter, because I just flipped the thing inside out, and it looks like you aren’t supposed to do that. ... show more

This vacuum works great and I wish I bought it years ago. It's intended to be used for spot cleaning and not intended for large debris. Plenty of suction power and plenty of battery life. The debris bag is very small and it isn't designed in a great way. Gravity works against it and the debris easily clogs the inlet of the inlet chamber. Constant bag cleaning is necessary, which makes the cleaning process much longer than it should be. Still, this works well enough and is a great tool for any pool owner. ... show more

    • FINALLY! A Pool Vac that works!

My "pool" is actually a considered a cocktail pool that is 10' x 10' in size and only 18" deep with a sunshelf of 8" on one side. I purchased several different Pool Vacuums and had a terrible time with the first 3 models; either low suction or just stopped working after first several uses. I reviewed those and moved on. THIS vacuum (purchased in April 2024) lives up to the description for sure. And I had to vacuum A LOT to clean it after several months of a pump not working. Now...that being said, I did purchase a separate pack of micro filter bags, to help pickup even the smallest particles of sand and dirt. As soon as I added those extra mesh filter bags to the original included filter...it worked perfectly. The motor keeps up great with suction, battery lasts as advertised and it's easy to use and clean. I've used it probably AT LEAST 4 times a week and it's still going.
