It's sturdy, I had my doubts about the sisal part staying on, but hasn't been an issue at all. The track for the bell and balls could be better, but a bit of sanding took care of the issue and they move along the track smoothly now. As for the mouse toy, it wouldn't stay in at all, so I don't use it. For the price I was expecting a bit better, I guess, so there are other products I prefer at a cheaper price point that the kitty pack actually use, this one they've played with it once or twice since I bought it and most sit on or lay on once in a while ... show more

I have a new kitten - and we like nice things - the balls and bell going around in the grooves are great! The scratch pad in the middle does its job and the mouse on the spring is fun. A longer spring would be my only request. It appears as if it is crafted by a fine woodworker and even comes with little stick on pads to protect the floor. Really nice. I was looking for more scratching areas for my new kittens to try to sway them from scratching my couch. I have a small apartment so I didn't want to buy another big scratching post. My kittens love this new scratching pad. They are very entertained by the balls and the bell. The only complaint is that the balls came out after the first day and I have no idea where they went. The bell is still there so they play with that but I wish the design allowed for the balls to stay in as well. Even so, they still love the scratching pad the the mouse and the bell.
