Features

  • Stiff & Strong & Heat Resistant - PolyMide PA12-CF nylon filament 1.75mm is a carbon fiber reinforced PA12 (Nylon 12) filament. The carbon fiber reinforcement really provides significantly improved stiffness, strength and heat resistance with outstanding layer adhesion (Heat Deflection Temperature (ISO 75 0.45 MPa): 131 C). It is a very stiff filament so it is required to have a good set up to ensure a good feeding (avoiding excessive bending in the filament guide system)
  • Low Moisture Sensity & Warp Free - PA12's low moisture sensitivity ensures outstanding mechanical and thermal properties even after the moisture conditioning process. It has excellent surface finish and dimension accuracy, combined with its ease of print with Warp-Free technology, this carbon fiber reinforced 1.75mm Nylon filament is ideal to create manufacturing tools
  • Tangle Free & Resealable Bag - Our PA12-CF nylon filament 1.75 is carefully winded to avoid any tangling issues, dried and vacuum sealed in a resealable ziplock bag with desiccant. Please make sure to NEVER let go the tip of the filament as it may create nodes. Holes on the side of the spool can be used to prevent this issue
  • Cardboard Spool - Comes in upgraded 3.0 version packaging with fully recycled cardboard spool and box
  • Printing Setting - Nozzle Temperature: 260-300 C; Bed Temperature: 25-50 C; Speed: 30mm/s 60mm/s; Annealing: 80C 6h (To ensure a good heat resistance of your printed part it is recommended to anneal your print model); Bed Surface: almost any surface with a thin coat of PVA glue

  • In one word: BEAUTIFUL! Worth every penny!!!
This filament is very pricey; I figure it's around 5X+ the price of most filaments! But, as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for!", which definitely applies in this case. In the past 4 years, I've printed THOUSANDS of items, most personally-designed, and I've used over a HUNDRED spools of filament such as PC, PLA, TPU, ABS, Nylon, Carbon fiber PC and PETG, etc. Lots of brands, lots of types. I'm a 74 year old retired Engineer, and LOVE to design and print 3D stuff. And, I'm NOT talking about 'trinkets, models and masks' either!!! I'm talking real tools and hardware,....real-world, "it's gotta be TOUGH" stuff! I've recently had to design and built the TOUGHEST thing I've ever printed, a one-to-two blades adapter for my edger. After at least a 10 versions, I finally came up with an 'elegant' design, but the plain Nylon I was using wasn't cutting it. Just too much warpage and dimensional instability. So, after reading the review by Tonia, I decided to give this filament a try. OK, I'll cut to the chase....If you need something TOUGH, something that does not warp, something that prints BEAUTIFULLY, and looks BEAUTIFUL, look no further. Hands down the best filament I've ever, ever used. And, I'm talking about ALL filaments I've used! VERY Pricey. BUT, "You get what you pay for"! And, for all you Polymaker folks who were part of developing this filament: GOOD JOB, VERY WELL DONE!!!! Starting first layer temp at 260 C. Bed at 50. Then up to 280 C for layers 2+, same bed temp. NO FAN, EVER!!! Enclosed. PRUSA MK3S+, Textured Utilistik bed. Elmer's Purple on bed. Perfect prints. If your print has to be absolutely perfect and strong, this is the filament! Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Excellent results, no warping, easy to print
I've been searching for a good temperature resistant filament that I can print without warping. This PA12-CF is the first complete success. I'm using the Bambu X1C printer. When I try to print medium-large parts with ASA, they warp a bit, even when I let the chamber preheat as much as possible. But with this filament, there is zero warping. The prints look very good with a slightly rough satin finish. I follow Polymaker's instructions and used the engineering plate with Nano Polymer Adhesive. Without adhesive, I did have a print come loose, but with the adhesive, the print stayed put perfectly and was easy to remove. I started with a bit of fan (20-30%) but got better results (less dull finish, better layer adhesion) with zero fan. Also, the print was dimensionally perfect. With the ASA parts, I had to scale them up by 0.6%, but these came out the correct size without any adjustment. ... show more

  • Nice stuff
This filament worked perfectly. My Ender would only go to 175 degrees C which is lower than the recomended temperature, but it worked flawlessly. Very smooth finish, dimensionally correct. Product is expensive, but we’ll worth it!

  • Very very disappointed for the price for something I thought was PA12
I want to start out by saying that " I tried to give it a chance" I have been printing CF filaments for about 6 years from several different manufactures like 3dx CF/PC, Priline and several other brands/blends. They all have their "pains" but this threw me for a loop. The first print stopped about 12 hours in because of a jam on my mosquito magnum hotend at 295C which was puzzling. After many hours of trying to clear the jam with the hotend boiling at 320C, I heated up a brass rod and shoved it through the hotend. Ok.... That sometimes happens, but not to that point. I didn't even have this hard of a time clearing out a jam with PPC or PEKK.... So after many different settings, I finally got it to print beautifully at speed. Then came the actual use of the print..... Hot garbage is the best way to put it. If you bend it, it will hold shape like stretch armstrong. Doesn't matter how solid you print it... how hot you print it, it will not hold shape if bent. My thoughts are that it is supposed to ridged or at least more ridged then filaments like nylonx... Nope. The closest thing this compares to is Priline CFPC filament ( which is not technically even PC), but at least Priline will return to its actual shape. This filament was supposed to be my stopgap while I wait on more fiberoligy PA12 CF. I always trusted Polymaker prior to this, but this is a big no no and has me questioning if I will ever use their products again after this. ... show more

  • My new favorite filament
Exactly as described. Polymaker has been my go to for years and this did not disappoint. Very good with moisture absorption. I keep it out naked and it’s fine

  • WOW
So Prusaslicer doesn't have a Polyamide profile. So I made one based on Fiberlogy Nylon PA12. Then I changed the bed temp to 50c both first layer and others. That's all. My second thing I did after reviewing was make a dry box. I dried the filament to 10% humidity. I bought this filament to print replacement parts for my Prusa MK3 Hotend. I have tried printing with nylon in the past and it turned out BAD! But polymaker says "PA12" has a less humidity problem so I bought this roll. Also there was a huge sale! So its been a while to make my dry box and I printed the hotend parts. WOW its so beautiful!!! If this didn't cost so much I would print a ton with it!!! The pictures people show don't do it justice! It doesn't even feel like the other plastics I have printed. I am debating of replacing every part on my printer just to have that look! but should I... I am going to print another hotend set just in case of problems in a few years. Sadly It only comes with .5kg so half a roll. I think this will go fast just to print parts for my printer. Oh well. worth it! ... show more
