I was worried because I saw a few bad reviews but the radio and android auto work great! It's a little slow but nothing to noticable at all. It does get very hot however my car has no ac and anything with a screen in my car gets very hot. I love this radio and I'm very happy about this purchase.

I installed this in a 1988 Iroc Z28 without the factory Bose system using a META harness and a kit from Scosche. The install was quite easy and the radio powered on first try with no issues. After plugging my IPhone 11 into the usb port it immediately switched over to Apple CarPlay and worked great. I was also easily able to add it via Bluetooth. The reason for 4 stars is because the touchscreen is a little dodgy and you really have to know where to press it to move it to the second screen I order to access the settings. The manual is also very short and outlines the functions of the unit but doesn’t necessarily tell you how to perform some of the operations. You have to play around with it. The touchscreen pulls out manually and has an manual adjustable tilt which is nice. It also came with two remote controls, one that had a Velcro strap that is supposed to attach to the steering wheel for vehicles that don’t have that like mine, and another flat remote. After putting batteries in these, neither of them work. That being said, that was not the reason for why I bought the unit and I don’t really care that much. I did not hook up the backup camera so I can’t tell you if that worked or not, but I will probably order another one of these for my 2014 F250 pickup and I do intend to use the backup camera for that vehicle. Overall, time will tell if the unit holds up but it gives me exactly what I needed for this car and with the screen able to fold in and still use the functions of the radio, I can have the best of both worlds by allowing me to use my Air Conditioning controls when it’s collapsed, and GPS when it’s open. Update March 22, 2022: After the radio operating properly for a couple of months, the radio suddenly reset itself. All settings had to be re-done. The other problem is that there is now a dead space on the screen; second row from top. This now creates a problem because we are unable to set some settings because their buttons/menu item fall in this dead region of the touch screen. I’m not sure there is a way to use the physical buttons and knob on the front to make changes but we haven’t discovered it yet. Overall at this point we are now disappointed, between the original problem and now this. The price was pretty inexpensive and it’s now showing why. Removing two stars due to quality. I may attempt to contact the vendor but it’s been months now and I would not expect any warranty at this point. Original Review: I purchased this as a very first aftermarket radio for my 18-year old son's first car. We spent an entire day working together to install it. Once finished, we found the rear view camera was not working properly. After contacting the vendor through the Amazon support system, they gave us additional troubleshooting recommendations and we found the (very) long video cable from the head unit to the back, was failing. We sourced a replacement camera and cable locally and it works perfectly. Meanwhile, the vendor offered to refund a small and reasonable amount to cover the cost of the replacement cable. The vendor's support put this into a five-star for me because the worth of a product is measured both by the product itself and how well the vendor stands behind the product. My son very much likes the new radio and it's ability to connect to his iPhone, and having the rear view camera. Now he can have maps on a larger screen, play his favorite stations and even play videos for his friends from USB. It's a neat radio that covers a lot of bases. ... show more

Does exactly what it says it does. Everything works absolutely flawlessly. The android auto, the bluetooth music, the touch screen, it all works AND the wiring is clearly labeled! Great product in a sea of counterfeit junk piles. Only complaint I can even begin to muster is the lack of a operating manual. Seriously. My only complaint. A great buy! Update: customer service contacted and did a full refund. I asked if they can help me to fix the issue I have, but seems like fixing is not an option. Well, a refund also works. I'll find something else. DO NOT waste your money on this crap, seems like a good buy but it has a ton of problems. just skip it and find something else. Good product considering that its slightly above 100$ to get one of these, Once you plug in your phone to the stereo , A couple apps become available such as YouTube music and Google maps. You also get notifications when you get text messages but won't let you see the actual messages and doesn't read them out loud either. I installed the backup camera it came with as well and it's okay, the quality on the camera isn't too good but still helps when backing up. The pop up screen is not automatic , you pull and push the screen in and out. I haven't had any issues with any lags with the touch screen and the main apps I use on the stereo is the YouTube and Google maps and I had no issues with that either . ... show more
