This hammock was my favorite place to relax at my house. I have owned it for about 2 years and it stayed outside on the back porch. I'm sure the wear and tear on it was from the weather elements (southern heat and rain) and it slowly started to deteriorate - first it faded because of the sun (that was fine, expected that), then ropes popped and I retied them, then small holes would appear until finally it ripped completely when I sat in it (I'm 6'1 185 lbs). I absolutely did not expect this to be a high quality hammock and stand (simply because it was so cheap, for both items $63). I was pleasantly surprised, the hammock is soft but very strong. I used to only be a "tree" hammocker, but this is a game changer. Set up is super easy and just as easy to take down and bring in the house. LOVE this new hammock -- I weigh 185lbs and do not have any concerns of falling / failure when in this hammock. I love that it is adjustable!

If I could give this product 10 stars I would. The base was easy to assemble, and only took a few moments. The fabric hammock is a mixture between canvas and cotton, and very soft. I will be re-purchasing this in the future for friends and family as a gift.

My only problem with this hammock is the lack of a spreader bar at each end. Itโ€™s my own fault for not considering the design more carefully. The stand is sturdy and to solve the hammock design Iโ€™ve ordered a second hammock with a spreader bar. The cocoon type will be fine for cooler weather, but I donโ€™t want to be wrapped up in the middle of summer. ... show more
