Assembly was not difficult at all. It took my son and I about 40 minutes to assemble the chair. Everyone in my family loves it. It is so comfortable and lying on it feels so relax. It looks great too. It is very stable and overall it is very solid build. To get on/off the chair safely, what I did was using both of my hand to hold the edge of the chair firmly and slowly move my body on or off the chair. It is quite easy after a few times practice. Service is very good. I had issue with one of the part, contact the service department, they always responded with a day, and my problem was solved quickly and I am very satisfied with the result. This swing is pretty sturdy and comfortable. It looks nice and is decent value for the money. I have noticed that after a week of having it on my uncovered porch that it has rusted a little already. So if you are buying this, it would probably best to have it under a covered porch. The manufacturer should make the directions easier to read and follow because some of it was unclear and thus prolonged the assembly process. ... show more

Takes a while to put together but is a very comfortable experience. The feeling of floating is similar to the feeling of taking off in a plane. But constant. Easily fall asleep in. Do not leave it out in the winter.

    • Great chair, but take one step prior to assembly to prevent a common problem

This chair is ultra comfortable and looks slick and modern on the deck. I love a few things about it. One is that it comes in colors people might actually want. Beige, navy, and taupe are all very well and good, but some of us LIKE colors. I got the chair in turquoise. The accent colors on my deck are turquoise and daffodil yellow, because 1.) heck yeah and 2.) neutrals are for squares. I did want to mention that a few of the negative reviews mention that this thing is susceptible to rusting. Noted. Before assembly, I applied clear Rustoleum all over this piece, paying special attention to the screw holes. I then put it all together and waited. No rust so far. If you take this step before you assemble, you can probably avoid the same trouble. Furthermore, if the fabric fades, as some reviews suggest it will after a season of direct sun exposure, you can just remove the cushion and get yourself a replacement in Sunbrella. Another thing I like is the teensy footprint of this piece. I take a long time every spring to lovingly apply Ipe Oil to my fancy, dark, tropical hardwood deck until it glimmers like well-seasoned cast iron skillet, so the smaller the footprint of any object I put on it, the better. I don't want fading, water pooling underneath something, etc. and this fits the bill. This thing has four touch-points on the feet, and none of them is bigger than a dime. Nod of approval to the small umbrella thingy up top. I like it. It's very unlikely to blow the whole apparatus away in a strong wind, and it does block out the sun well. No need to remove a star for this, as such items are definitely sold separately, but it would be nice to have a cupholder attached to it. You can't really have a piece of furniture anywhere near this thing, because it will just bash into it. But a simple clip-on cup holder could solve your "where do I put my beverage" problem for under $10, so maybe pick up one of those if you decide you'd like to buy this chair. ... show more

This chair was reasonably easy to assemble. Sitting in it is comfortable. The awning at the top is a little small to get adequate shade. Quality of construction is pretty good. But after a lifetime in product design I think there’s a few things that could be improved. The chair is top heavy. Making getting on and off a bit tricky. It also causes another issue I address later The seating surface right now, when new is really good. The cushioning inside it appears to be some sort of spongelike foam. While it’s dry it’s o.k. This chair is expected to be outdoors all of the time. And from time to time rain will fall. When the seating cushion gets wet it will stay wet for a long time. I find this to be a problem. I don’t want to wait many days for it to dry. As a result, I bought a cover to fit on it. This cover doesn’t say it was made by the same company but it fits very well and has fasteners so well located one might think it was. The cover keeps the rain off but introduces a problem. If the wind is strong during the rain storm (or otherwise) it will catch the wind similar to how a sail catches the wind. Resulting in the entire chair tipping over. Now this relatively heavy chair is lying on its side and the cushioning is getting wet. :( I did right the chair but I had to remove the cover and the cushioning to bring indoors to dry. Also, the included awning has poor screw connections for the wire spreaders. One screw was stripped as delivered. This allows one wire awning support to fall off. To address the fact that it can tip over in the wind with the cover on I’m going to try placing sand bags on the feet to try stopping this. This is going to result in it becoming somewhat unattractive. This is how things are right now. Maybe I’ll get it improved as time goes on and I’ll return and modify my review.
