The size of the chair is large making it for a cozy day place to hangout. Buyers be warned there are a lot of bolts to assemble and it took my husband 3 hours to put it together by himself. It was not difficult to do just time consuming. Also note it does not come with the mount. You need to purchase that separately. This was however exactly what I have been looking for.     • Nice hanging chair, with some caveats
Overall happy with this chair. However, there are a couple things that bother me. Firstly, the chain provided to hang the chair is much too short. I haven't measured, but I estimate it is about 10 inches, which is not enough for the chair to hang comfortably low enough. I hung it from a somewhat low beam (I am average height guy and I can reach the beam without a step stool or ladder), and yet the chair hangs high enough that my legs dangle when I sit in it, which makes it somewhat uncomfortable. So I will be buying a longer chain. Second, they provide little plastic caps to cover the bolt heads and nuts, for aesthetics and perhaps comfort. Unfortunately, in order to assemble the chair securely enough, you must tighten the bolts to the point where the bolts protrude too far past the nut, making it impossible to put the covers on the nuts. So those are kind of useless. Perhaps shorter bolts or longer covers would have solved this. Other than that, I like the looks of the chair, it's sturdy, and it was reasonably priced. ... show more

I had to get on here and review this because some people give it a lesser rating than they should due to the assembly process. I buy a lot of items that require assembly and really have found it of no use to write a negative review about it unless they don't have holes where they are supposed to or come without the proper tools. Neither one applies to this item... Sure, the holes don't line up perfectly but they do line up when you assemble it properly. My Guide to the best set up... have a partner (even though I did mine solo) and 1. Go Slow. Go in sections. 2. insert the screws, washers and nuts just to hold the pieces together not to make it sturdy yet , then 3. go back and tighten them from the outside of the chair going inwards 4. make sure you don't tighten too much or the finish caps wont fit over the screw/nut . ... show more

It's actually kind of surprising to me how dated a lot of the outdoor hanging chairs look that are for sale here on Amazon, and also in stores. They haven't changed the designs in decades. I shopped around for a while, and I liked how updated this one looked. This chair was just as nice-looking in person. It is also sturdy and well-made, and super comfy! I didn't need one with a stand, because I have a great, old oak tree to hang this from, with branches so sturdy that this won't traumatize the tree. I also used a clear piece of tubing to protect the branch from the chain. This chair perfectly suited my needs. It looks great in its new place in my yard, and is used constantly by every member of the family. I added a fabric protector spray to the cushions to keep them new-looking for longer. ... show more

    • Not quite a 30 Minute assembly
It wasn't too bad to assemble! It definitely took another person to hold some things together while you screw them together. Follow the instructions and don't tighten the screws as much as possible until after you assemble it. I went about halfway just to get the chair assembled, then tightened all the way once it was assembled. The cushion is so so, comfy but nothing to write home about. I paired it with a hanging stand (title listed below). I'm a little over 200lbs, and I feel safe in it. It looks exactly like the picture. I'm not sure if the listing mentions the straps all over the chair are a flexible plastic-type material. I thought they were wicker at first glance, but they're a sturdy, yet flexible, plastic. Comfortable, sturdy, beautiful. the instructions said it would take 30 minutes to assemble but it took me 90 min. I did it by myself. I had a hex nut driver to help me but then used the tools included to extra tighten each bolt. I had a handyman instal a swivel on my ceiling studs. (bought on amazon, https://www.amazon.com/MDAIRC-Stainless-Hanging-Hangers-Sets%EF%BC%8Ctire/dp/B07PRX7FGH) and had to buy 6 feet of chain because my ceilings are so high. Also bought two heavy duty locking carabiners. Very nice for the price. I looked at overstock and wayfair and this was the cheapest I could find. ... show more
