The construction of this swing was done well! It feels very strong and sturdy. It holds my 40-lbs. child up no problem. He absolutely loves climbing up into it and swinging for relaxation or play. He plays very rough and it's not showing any signs of wear so far. We got a swing stand for it so it we didn't have to use the hardware or drill into the ceiling of our rented home, but the hardware looks sturdy and strong too. The inflatable part that goes into the swing bottom also has not lost any air or weakened either. Even if it did, we could easily put another cushion inside if necessary later on, but so far no issues. I'm really impressed with this swing pod. My son really enjoys this pod style where he can stick his feet out and lean back, climb in on his own, and use it as a nesting/hiding space when he feels like having quiet time too. The design of this hammock is good for young children. We had a different one by a different company that lasted a year that my 2 boys loved. That company has discontinued them so I had to look for another one. This one looks identical but is not quite as good. It is slightly larger but the material seems a little thinner. It was easy to hang up, we put it outside off of our big tree limb where the other one was. Within 1 day the inflatable pillow has popped on the seem. The old one lasted an entire year! The reason we finally replaced it was because the fabric was wearing thin in several places and it had become stained and I determined it wasn’t safe to hold my child’s weight. Overall it’s still a good hammock swing and I’m still glad I purchased it but I wish I could get a replacement inflatable pillow. I’m going to try to patch the hole and see if that works. Hopefully the canvas material lasts for a while but honestly not expecting it to last a full year, probably more like 6 months. It’s not a very expensive thing so still worth it. My son absolutely loves these things, he is a special needs child and has sensory issues and this really helps him decompress. Still well worth the purchase. ... show more

    • Love it but it hasn’t lasted as long as it should.

We bought this for our 3 year almost 4 year old. We have it mounted to the ceiling in her room since the day it arrived in February. She has been in love with it everyday since. It is amazing how much it helps regulate her. She will swing and swing all day if we let her ☺️. It is now September and there are a few things I have to say about the product now that it’s seen months of use. I love that the pod is washable! Makes for easy clean up! Couple things we have had issues with or concerns. 1. The inflatable pillow to put inside deflates quickly over a day or two and we have re-inflate it every few days. (Also yes we have checked it for holes and leaks and don’t seem to be finding any where that it is coming out) I think maybe a foam pillow would be better for these or even bean bag beans. 2. There is not a great way to store it while it’s still on the hook in the ceiling. We have to take it down every time if we want to put it up. It would be nice to maybe have an extra little strap on the base of the pod that has like a Velcro loop to be able to loop it up and hook to the ceiling when it needs to be put away if that makes sense. 3. Recently we’ve been having issues with the d rings stretching open and the strap getting stuck on the d ring prongs. We then have to use pliers to clamp them closed again. 3. The strap itself has folded in on itself where it loops through the loop on the top of the pod and the adjuster bar isn’t holding its position at all anymore. When we have it set to the right height we have to go in every 15-20 minutes and re-adjust it again cause it keeps sliding down. 4. We just recently have noticed that one of the d rings has come apart again and picked straight through the strap. I have contacted the company directly on their website to see if they sell extra hardware so we can just replace it all except for the swing itself. Still waiting to hear back and will update when I do. Overall we do love it just think there are a few things that need worked on to improve it. If the company doesn’t sell the hardware for replacement then we will have to figure out another option for hanging it. As of right now she can’t use it as it would be unsafe. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We were gifted a different type of swing for our 2.5 year old child with spd and on the spectrum. We were facing a challange the higher we hung it, it was hard for her to get in and out and felt unsafe. The lower it was to the ground she would Just sink and drag on the floor. We already had that hardware up with the adjustable strap so I ran to Amazon and boy was I not disappointed! This pod swing is a life saver! It's safe to leave up in my opinion for my kiddo and she has a great time swinging in it and getting her spinning in. She regularly falls asleep in it and it has become part of the nightly routine. The fabric seems tough and I purposely leave the pillow a little deflated because she likes to lay around the edges to be kind of cocooned for that extra sensory input.
