    • faulty part
When the fireplace expert was installing the gas, the pilot light would not stay lit because of a faulty valve. I had to purchase a new one--$35 plus labor!! Not acceptable.

    • Ignition Problems
The directions do not address the ignition button (I should have read the other reviews more carefully). I’ve tried working with the ignition button every way imaginable, inserting different batteries in both directions, but it does not work. I have to light the unit by hand which is dangerous and annoying. The unit is a safety hazard. Otherwise, installation was easy, and it looks nice. Just wish the ignition worked. ... show more

    • small issues
The directions don't mention installing battery in the igniter. I have tried it both ways and still will not work. I've had to light the stove manually, not good. Also after 3 days of running, the remote receiver box starts beeping constantly. What is causing this? I replaced the batteries today and re paired the remote. I hope this is not a constant problem. I cant find a Pleasant Hearth web site so what is my options to fix these issues ... show more

    • Wonderful heat very fast.
The only thing that could be better is if it had a electronic igniter. As the pilot light burns a lot of extra gas.
