I was on the fence about the whole Diaper Genie brand. It seems like parents and caregivers either love them or hate them. I took the risk and bought one. My only regret is not buying the biggest one they have. Our nursery never stinks (and we've had some pretty bad-smelling diapers), you can get knockoff bags for it to save money, the foot pedal/lid mechanism works well. I will say that I've had diapers/wipes get stuck at the top, but 90% of the time, it's just because I let the trash get a bit too full. You can't really push the trash down further with this setup, but you probably shouldn't be cramming too many dirty diapers in your trash in the first place honestly. ... show more

I returned this item because I was gifted a pink one, but this is a great item to have in your house. The one I have I keep it in the living room where babies play. Easy to just put spoil diapers in which eliminates odors and once bag is full just tie off and discard.

I have a travel trailer that has a really poor design when you’re going to empty the waste. It’s too far back for me to get to it comfortably. So I finally given up and I’ve gone to bagging the toilet. I was putting the used bags into another trash bag but the odor etc. was awful and I didn’t think of a diaper genie because they didn’t have these when my kids were babies. I happen to come across the diaper genie and decided I was going to buy it. If you’re using it for adults, it will hold up to 10 to 12 used bags with liners. There is no odor except when you open it up to put in another used bag and even then it’s minimal to the point where you can leave it inside your RV or trailer or bedroom if you happen to be using it for an adult. I would definitely recommend this very easy to use love how they have a cutter for the bag built-in. The only thing I would suggest if you’re using it for adults because there’s always a lot more Waste than there is with children is that on the blue bag that you pull down for storage, you twist the end Then, loop, it over, and tie a knot over both ends, and then tie another not on top of that just to ensure that nothing escapes. I think diaper genie is the most important item in every parent's checklist for the baby. It controls odors and very easy to dispose. Even the refill bags last for two to three months. I am very much impressed with the design and holds good amount of dirty diapers. And we mostly empty them once a week. ... show more

I love the product, I use it a dozen times a day. It serves it's purpose very well, keeping my nursery mostly free from smell. I wish it felt more sturdy for the price. I'm on my third one now, the lids on the first two broke, and the pull handle for the bottom keeps popping off of this one, despite being pretty new. Overall, good product but it feels like it could be more durable for the price ... show more
