  • Survived travel on plane with flimsy plastic bag it came with
Color: Red
I love my pTrumpet! It's lightweight, easy to handle, and the sound is surprisingly authentic. Perfect for students and beginners. The included mouthpieces and carrying bag make it even better. The durable ABS construction gives me confidence it will last a long time. Highly recommended!

  • Outstanding trumpet for marching band or beginner.
Color: Green
I bought this puppet for my nephew as a first horn to get him used to it and I loved it so much I'm buying myself another one. It's just as good as the jigsaw p-bone. Very easy blowing, sounds great. I recommend that you use a metal mouthpiece with it and you'll get a much better sound. I also recommend that you get a hard case for it because this thing will crack easily. ... show more

  • What's most important to know
Color: Purple
Sound quality is good, but valves are always sticking even if I apply valve oil liberally; makes it frustrating to play and unplayable.

  • Super light

So, I have a rotator cuff issue in my left shoulder, makes holding things with my left hand painful. I tried using a pocket trumpet - weighs the same as a regular trumpet, but I thought it would be more centered, tighter center of gravity without being bell-heavy. Helped a little but wasn't a solution. So I picked up a PTrumpet - less than half the weight. Arrived a few hours before rehearsal, so I just did a little noodling, checked the valves - flawless out of the box, though not as fast. I read the instructions and did NOT oil the valves. Checked the fit of my mutes, and off to rehearsal. Sound is OK. Not great, but certainly a trumpet. And the intonation is pretty good - no big issues there. Here's where it fails me - and having said that, I am going to continue playing it until my shoulder heals - if you try to push this horn - volume I mean - it shuts down and gets stuffy. You really can't play it above mf, no matter how hard you push it. And with mutes, you need to push a horn to light up the mute to sound proper. Harmon especially. Now, for a beginner, no issue. And for my purposes, with an injury, it lets me continue to play while healing. Beware ! The pistons are farther apart than the valve cluster on a normal trumpet. So your fingers will be kind of splayed out to be on the buttons, and this takes some adjusting. In summation, this is not a toy. It is also not a "real" trumpet beyond beginners. Intonation is cromulent, tone quality also, but not dense, or bright - just "there". And if you don't need to drive a mute, or play F or louder, it will work just fine. If nothing else, it is a cheap "travel" or "backup" horn and far better than most rental horns inflicted on beginners. ... show more

  • Good instrument for riffs
Color: Blue
It’s a pretty good Trumpet, it plays well. You might have to be aware of stuck valves, but the pInstrument Site has a solution to this. It’s also slight quieter than a brass trumpet so don’t expect to have the full power. I also use my brass mouthpiece. I also use this as an instrument I can due quick riffs. ... show more

  • Doesn't Work - Valves Stuck On Arrival - Please Advise
Color: Blue
The media could not be loaded. When I took the trumpet out of its box and tried it, the buttons on valves two and three are both sticky. They get stuck almost every time I press them, and can be difficult to unstick. The reviews I saw of this instrument said that it should be playable straight out of the box. This has not been the case for me. How do I fix this? Or do I need to ask for a replacement? ... show more

  • So nice
Color: Yellow
Good sound quality for a plastic instrument. I've been playing for 30 years. I went into another room and my wife could not tell the difference in tone when I played this trumpet and a traditional trumpet. You get two mouth pieces with different cup sizes. I highly recommend this practice tool.
